Dermara reads what is visible and returns a score for each area with an honest confidence band, because light, angle, lens and makeup all move any read by a few points. Every score comes with a finding in plain language and the one change that moves it most. Makeup is accounted for rather than ignored. If base coverage is on your skin, the app says so, widens the band on your skin score, and compares rescans like with like instead of counting a bare face as progress. HONEST BY DESIGN Your scores are cosmetic estimates meant for tracking your own progress over time. They are not a medical assessment, they are not a diagnosis, and they are never a comparison to anyone else. Two of the seven areas are largely structural, and the app tells you plainly that the plan does not try to move them. Your photos are processed to produce your report. They are not stored and they are not shared.
