Bummer
Tried this app, but it has a lot of snags. Requires 2 photos—one close up and the other normal. Tried to add pic from library, but couldn’t. Tried to take photo, but it wouldn’t allow me to reverse the camera (I have a face rash). This app needs a lot more fine tuning!
Waste of money
Response to detailed description with photos, of rash on hand was a generic response I could have gotten from the internet. Lots of “could be this”, “could be that” and “go see a doctor”. Horrible app
Fabulous service
We have used First Derm several times but this is my first time reviewing. Love this app and the dermatologists behind it. It is very difficult in my area to get in to see a dermatologist quickly so I use First Derm. I feel better knowing I can get a quick read on anything that looks suspicious rather than having to wait for my annual dermatology visit.

Scam
Paid , sent a picture of my thigh and stated what condition I had and that OTC lotions didn’t work. The reply 6 hours later was agreement on my condition but on my shoulder !?! And recommendation for product formulation not an actual product name or a rx medication which is what was the purpose .

Scam don’t use
I was experiencing hives and a rash and I took picture to see what could be the cause. I stated that I took prednisone and Benadryl, but wasn’t having any relief.
After taking pictures and waiting 48 hours for my response I was told “ you have hives” try using Benadryl or Claritin. I spent $50 to find this out. This app is a scam. Don’t use it.

Incorrect diagnosis
I can’t recommend them. I thought they were good until I got a second opinion in person. Funny thing is, I showed the in person dermatologist the same photos I put on this app. This app gave me a scary incurable disease and I’m glad they were wrong. And I paid for the fastest shin 8 hours service and got it after 48 hours and they won’t respond to my email to adjust the price. This app is a scam to me at this point.

Replied faster than expected
I used the website to submit not the app but it’s a very helpful service! I paid for 48hr response but they got back to me in about 30hr. The issue I had was something I’d never would have been able to identify on my own since it didn’t appear as a result when googling or asking ChatGPT. Glad I used it instead of self-diagnosing!

They said I will get an answer back by 48 hours but then still didn’t get one after 4 days. This is a scam don’t download it.
Reassured by a real doctor
I was concerned about a skin rash and was tired of waiting weeks for a dermatology consultation. Started using First Derm and was really reassuring. I received a professional and detailed response in just one day. Highly recommended.

I downloaded app but when I open it, I get a blank screen. Opened using iphone16
You have to pay to even some what use the app ☹️
I couldn’t even submit anything without having to pay. And you had to put in your city and county which was a little odd. So that is why I have this one star.

Scam!!! $65 to Google search what you have. They are not allowed to prescribe. They will give you a generic diagnosis and tell you to saw a derm in person! I could google people’s pictures and do the same. SCAM. Not doctors.

I sent 2 pictures and got a good response. The only thing I would like to see added is a way to ask a follow up question.
SCAM - Just use Chat GPT
This company is a complete waste of time and money, they took nearly 48 hours to confirm what Chat GPT or other AI apps can tell you, not to mention the extortionate pricing. The otc treatment they recommended didn't was far inferior to what any chat box can offer.
