Told wrong info

I was told a questionable mold was actually acne scarring which is incorrect. Theres no way to speak nor reach anyone about this concern. Dont waste your money.

Zero contact info

This company partners with derms who churn and burn through these photos and take no onus or responsibility for the info they give. They purposely provide no way for the user to contact the derm they are connected with (to provide additional info) nor do they provide contact info for their own customer support. Stay away - you will get charged for a lackluster diagnosis, if even done by a professional at all.

Response from developer

DermTech Connect enables a user to connect on their own time with an independent, board-certified dermatologist. Each image or submission is evaluated by the dermatologist. The dermatologist provides their evaluation through the app and if they deem it necessary they may contact the patient. The platform is structured as an asynchronous interaction with the dermatologist to ensure a convenient and quick way to have a suspicious mole evaluated. Customer support can be reached at telehealth@dermtech.com or (866) 394-1117.

App does not let me sign in again

I cannot pull up my initial results now and have contacted customer service. They cannot fix this situation.

Response from developer

We’re sorry you’re having trouble accessing your results. We’re not sure why you’re encountering this problem and are investigating it. If you contact telehealth@dermtech.com or (866) 394-1117, they can help you access your results.

Sign In with Apple does not work

Tried twice and Sign In with Apple does not work. The app needs work. When simple things like signing up don’t work, it’s hard to trust this app with helping diagnose skin cancer. Just find yourself a doctor that carries the test until they find a better developer for their app

Response from developer

Apologies for any inconvenience you experienced. Thank you so much for your feedback. We heard you and fixed the technical issue. Note, the app enables a board-certified dermatologist to evaluate photos of a suspicious mole. Based on their evaluation, the dermatologist will provide recommendations on next steps.

Awesome at home skin cancer assessment

Who wouldn’t want a simple way to skin cancer and access to a non-invasive test- without having to make and drive to a doctor appointment
