Top reviews

Voting

Most of the designs that get a 5 star review are the designs that use the most items in a room. The room ends up looking like whatever color they used threw up in there. These are not rooms that are actually aesthetically pleasing. I think the voting should reflect more realistically.

Taking money

So I’ve noticed on several occasions that’s when I purchase a 9.99 pack of diamonds they charge 50.00. I am keep track of this and building a case against this game. Pay attention if you are using PayPal to purchase on this game

Love of designing

It is a wonderful platform where people like me can enjoy their passions, relax from all the stress, and become experts in interior design. 😊❤️

Soooo fun!

I actually LOVE this game! I downloaded it through a paying game app called Mistplay and when I hit certain levels I get paid. But I didn’t realize I would enjoy this game so much! But I am one who loves designing. So if you do, play this game! There are a lot of opportunities to earn gems and the game cash. I have only ever bought one package because I wanted a certain look but you don’t really have to spend money to play. It’s so fun! And then everyone votes on the rooms. It has been a blast

It’s Ridiculous

I have been playing this game for so long. The tricks this app plays is not a computer glitch. I mean all the things you win are never featured for the higher cost challenges so when players win a prize for being rated on completed challenges. So you spend all your one higher challenge and have to wait until the next day. Do loyal players get any kind of reward? Example : a month of challenges without having to have keys? The price of the furniture has gone up and you all state it s because it’s the reality of the real economy. The point bottom line is the game isn’t any fun anymore

Great game!

I truly enjoyed planning this game. It's very relaxing...

Getting increasingly expensive and Canvas sucks!

8/8/26 update: Loyal daily player here. Sad to say over the many years of playing this game, as it has been a long-time favorite, this is the first time I feel totally ripped off. Hence, lowering my previous rating. There is a regular part of the game, the Season Challenge. They take place over about 3 months so it takes a lot to earn the top tier rewards. This time, I should have been awarded rewards from the second to the highest level. However, it’s been days now and several technical support requests later, crickets. Not only have the earned rewards not been given, now they even seem to have stopped responding to my inquiries about why the heck they haven’t granted the rewards. So, in good faith, until this matter is resolved I can not give this game a high recommendation. It sucks to get excited about a pretty huge reward pack only to receive nothing. And to add insult to injury, the next Season Challenge has already begun. Developers need to address this.

7/2026- quick note to developers. Nice work on the new daily design rush challenges. Also, I really like the partner events. Adding back one star. Glad I haven’t seen Canvas in a while. They never really fit this game, never turned out looking very good and as such usually received low vote scores bringing down players overall scores.

OK I don’t understand why the developers have now decided that this should be a painting app. Now with what they call Canvas rooms it’s all painting. The first one was mildly interesting. Now they are completely uninteresting and add nothing of substance to the game. I wish they would leave well enough alone. Additionally, no matter how you do them, they just don’t look very appealing so most of the scores for them in the voting are low. This is now starting to bring down my overall total game score. Not going to complete any more of the Canvas designs. Useless addition to the game.

The collaboration events are fun and interesting and the Seasons challenges are also interesting and worthwhile because of the prizes. If you just must add more, let’s have more of those.

Update on my previous update. In my last update I mentioned that the game had gotten to be very expensive to play well. That continues. Now way more items require diamonds to purchase. Diamonds are the most expensive currency in the game. Also there are now way more tablescapes, which are totally expensive and uninteresting as well as the exterior gardens. Neither of these are very interesting and somewhat out of place in the game.

I do like that there are, special additions that allow you to earn bonus items and sometimes diamonds. I still play daily but not with the same level of enthusiasm.

Update. I don’t know if the developers have made this change purposely, if so, I suggest they rethink it. Now the perspective of the player when creating the design is, first of all different than the viewing perspective during voting. Secondly, on a few designs the player can’t even see clearly all of the placed objects. Example, just yesterday there was the option to place a pillow on a single chair. However, the view of the chair was from the back, so you couldn’t even see how it looked with the pillow. That’s like designing your house in the dark. On another room design, you could place table art on an accent table. However, you could see only a small portion of the table. These changes are very strange and do nothing to enhance the experience.

I have been playing this game for years and it is still one of my top favorites. I play it daily. Over the years I have noticed that more and more items require using diamonds to purchase which makes them very expensive. Also, overall, the costs of all items has increased pretty significantly. During the first years that I played, there was a wider range of costs, such that it was easier to make nice designs without breaking the bank. These days almost all of the rugs require purchasing with diamonds. Since players only collect 500 diamonds daily it can get expensive to play in a way where the designs look really nice. Regarding voting, I think most players, including me, vote based on designs they like rather than considering the style of room the game indicated. Some reviewers complain about this, but it doesn’t bother me. Recently, the game has included more variety in the furniture layouts, which I really like. It helps to keep the game interesting for long term players. I do like the “gifts” you get each time you reach a new level. I don’t much like designing the new Tablescape rooms. It’s way too expensive since for many of the items, you don’t receive multiples, necessitating paying for each individual item. When 4 or more are required to complete the design that can get very pricey and I’m not so jazzed about designing an expensive dining table. Overall, it is a game I recommend for players who like low key, laid back game play with minimal competition. Though it’s not my main focus, it’s kind of fun to get 5 stars on a room design. I like the new screens when this happens. It’s very fun and dramatic.

Fun and creative

I really enjoy this fun and creative game. I would love to see the organization in a way where I can quickly see what I can buy based on my $ and 💎 so I didn’t have to scroll through stuff I can’t afford first.

Great game

I’ve been playing this game for probably 10 years. Daily. I have spent extra to get some better choices for design, but you can get by without spending. Great game.

Fun

I really enjoy this game, the only drawback is I wish there were more ways to get diamonds.

Chic

Fun to play and very realistic

Scam

I purchased many times the tapjoy products to earn diamonds and twice I was denied the rewards despite following the tricky requirements. You really can’t design unless you spend money on diamonds. Terrible

Great Interior Design

A fun way to see you design skills. Wish it was around when I took Interior Design classes. Also wish there was a way to get back into a design when you haven’t touched any buttons to post your design. Half finished and laid down my phone, picked it back up and the design had been posted and this wasn’t the first time either.

Eh

It’s a fun game with lots of items to design with, but the “prices” of items are usually way too high (1 item being 11k diamonds for example) because it takes days to weeks to earn enough to properly decorate one room. I just try to be resourceful and use the prize items and my daily rewards, however, it can get frustrating doing it that way since you never really have enough for what you really want. I refuse to spend real money on a phone game. There should be more opportunities to earn cash and especially diamonds, because some items can only be purchased with diamonds, like the pillows. The voting also seems “off” because you can throw any items into any room and as long as they’re all the same color or from the same design collection it will receive a 5-star rating regardless of how it looks. Ultimately, it’s ok for killing time here and there but it gets old fast when you can’t really buy anything or earn cash and diamonds.

Lady LaQ

I’m not wanting to spend anymore money because someone is stealing my money and buying landscaping and tablescaping, I don’t buy any of those. Check my account.
3 of my dogs were stolen. Items were showing up in my inventory from the above…
No telling, what else was
taken. I have hundreds in my inventory. Please,Someone let me know how you will stop this stealing…

Addictive

Beware - this is absolutely addictive and ridiculously satisfying. It *could* be possible to play for free if you have the self-discipline of a monk - but the in-app purchases are reasonable if you can’t. Its audience and voting system make it weighted towards more American design values. Plus once your scores are over 90, the algorithm will punish now and again if you aren’t spending enough. Still fun.

My personal opinion!

I’ve have been playing this game on and off for 10yrs. It’s a fun, and enjoyable game! But it has become expensive for me personally because I love purchasing new decor. It went from 2.99 or 3.99 can’t remember, now 9.99!

Old style game play and too expensive

Started playing this game the day it appeared on my App Store. It was put out by the same developers as the rip off game, Covet, and I noticed it pop up, so I tried it. It was over a decade ago. Left it for a long time. Came back to check it out and was surprised to see you STILL can’t even turn the furniture and it isn’t 3D, nor can you place items wherever you want and use as many items as you want. Such a goofy, graphically-outdated game that is WAAAY overpriced and has people in a dangerous, but sadly comical, spending frenzy to be that “top designer”. Whether it’s items that go “out of style” and they’re worthless in your inventory after you’ve paid a premium of real money for them, voting that makes no sense because it’s as non-human as Claude, or a rigid, archaic design interface, this really has become the best rip off on the App Store. Playhouse needs to return. Good prices. Masses of content. Fair (and real) voting. And a 3D design interface that is not subpar for 2026. Don’t play this if you’re new. Just move along and save yourself the creative and financial frustrations.
