No sound on iOS and strange way of squishing video aspect to fit portrait mode. Surprised this hasn’t been fixed by now.

I’m having trouble getting the sound on my iPhone 12, works fine on my iPad but no sound or screen rotation on my phone.
Don’t subscribe via the app
The app doesn’t work if you subscribe via the app. You need to subscribe via the website. Also, there’s no customer support for the app.

I recently installed this app on my phone and paid the subscription through my Apple ID. There is NO SOUND. I am frustrated with the audio on this app. If I want to hear the commentary I will have to go to the internet and listen to it there on the website.
What’s the point of having the app if I can only hear the commentary online. FRUSTRATED.
Don’t know how to fixed this issue. I am considering uninstalling the app from my phone since it is not working properly.

Very Clunky on iOS
Love watching on a computer. But mobile devices are clunky at best. No sound on iPhone, but landscape and portrait modes work. On iPad you can get sound (but it requires multiple setting changes) but portrait mode doesn’t work—it’s stretched and blurry.
I would give this 5 stars if I could easily watch and listen on mobile devices. Unfortunately, I have to wait until I can sit down at my computer. Defeats the purpose of the app.

Reminder of G-d’s awesome plan
RVL’s weekly moments are a great way of being reminded of who we are and way we are here. I only wish he time to go film a 10,000 of these.

I find the process to open the weekly devotional is so unfriendly. Most of the time I cant get it to load. So frustrating. 🙏
Never worked
Never got app to work. Contacted support at TTWMK and still did not work. Could not get a refund from apple. Disappointing.
Three Minutes to listed - Ten Minutes to access
Much too difficult to use and re-access, even if you’ve subscribed to the weekly devotional. Sad that getting the Word out by such a notable scholar of the Bible is being SOLD rather than shared freely. Contributions to FOTF will also be discontinued along with this appl. Shame!!!!!
RVL teaching is awesome APP is not
Been trying to buy the year subscription but it had an error. Now the app doesn’t recognize that I purchased it but I have the apple receipt that says I did. RVL on an app would be great but it shouldn’t be hard to give money to buy a subscription.
Terrible app
I was supposed to “own” a year of the devotionals. Nope! You can play them once and then never re-watch/access an older one. Apple blames Focus on the Family... Focus on the Family blames Apple... I’ve talked to and emailed and have never gotten it straightened out. Expires end of this month - I’m done with it!!! They better not re-enroll me... but it convenient not letting me cancel.... figures!

Could be great
I have downloaded this app many times, every time it inevitability freezes and my phone goes haywire for upwards of 20 minutes. So disappointing since Ray is such a great teacher. I emailed Focus on the Family and they said it’s not the app. I beg to differ.
Love his teachings
I struggled with this APP at first due to using Apple Pay. After contacting the support team at Focus on the Family, there have been problems doing this. So as of today, it is better to purchase the content on their website and then log into the APP or you can watch their content online. No problems now and look forward to his weekly teaching.

Great biblical content
Love the teachings of RVL, however the app has a tendency to freeze way to often. In fact I’ve had to delete and re-upload to my phone numerous times. It’s gotten to the point where I have canceled my subscription and deleted the app for good.
Great idea but unstable software
They did a lot of things right with good content and downloading videos automatically. Unfortunately I keep running into problems where some videos have no audio. Re-downloading, re-starting app and even my re-starting my iPhone 7 doesn't fix it. If they fix this it would be great.
App issues
Have not been able to open any devotionals since I purchased the app. Disappointed becasuse I know that the content is excellent. I cannot open the app on my computer and cannot find any technical support to solve these issues. Please address these application issues.
Ray Vander Laan Devotions
The content is a 5 star rating. Youcan not get any better. But the app itself does not work well. I freezes up and you can only see one devotion a week. Cant get it to download on computer to save and uses too much storage for iphone. Hoping it gets fixed soon.
That The world May Know
I love this devotional by Ray. It is excellent but after viewing only 2 devotionals the app would not work. It froze up and nothing works. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still does not work. praying it can be fixed because I will give it a definite 5 stars.
