About

DevPulse keeps you in the loop on the software that matters, now on iPhone and iPad. Track releases across GitHub, GitLab, and Helm chart repositories, see what's new at a glance, and read the full release notes anywhere. A companion to DevPulse for Mac: your repositories, release briefing, and version history arrive over iCloud with nothing to set up, and a single one-time purchase unlocks Pro on every device signed into your Apple ID. WHY DEVPULSE • One place for releases: GitHub, GitLab, and Helm • A release briefing that groups what landed by risk • Long release notes summarized on-device by Apple Intelligence • Security advisories named in release notes, confirmed against OSV.dev • Full version history and release notes, correctly ordered • iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac • No account required: public APIs, cached to stay fast RELEASE BRIEFING • Recent releases grouped by risk: confirmed advisories and breaking changes first, then major version bumps, then pre-releases • Covers the last 7 days, extendable to 14 or 30 with Pro • Tap through from any release to its repository ON-DEVICE SUMMARIES • Long release notes are summarized to a single line, and your briefing gains a short digest of the whole window • Everything runs on your iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence, so no changelog is sent anywhere • Generated text is marked as generated, and the full notes stay one tap away RELEASE SAFETY • When release notes name a GHSA or CVE identifier, DevPulse resolves it against OSV.dev and badges the release with its published severity • Confirmed advisories rank ahead of every other risk signal, and can waive the cooldown that holds back very fresh releases • DevPulse checks only the advisories your notes name, so it tells you what it confirmed and never claims a release is clean RELEASE DETAILS • Accurate "latest" version with semantic-version ordering, so old tags and pre-release builds stop masquerading as the newest release • Latest release at a glance with relative timestamps • Full history with quick "Load More" • Combine a project and its Helm chart into one entry, each refreshing on its own MULTI-PROVIDER TRACKING • GitHub: follow Releases, or switch to Tags for every version • GitLab: follow Releases or Tags, useful for projects that restrict Releases to members • Helm: add chart repositories and auto-discover charts MANAGE YOUR LIST • Add repositories in seconds: paste a URL or use owner/repo • Pull to refresh; edit tags, tracking mode, and filters • Your list stays in step with your Mac DEVPULSE PRO Free for up to 5 repositories and a 7-day briefing. One one-time purchase unlocks Pro on iPhone, iPad, and Mac: • Track unlimited repositories • Summarize long release notes on-device with Apple Intelligence • Widen the briefing window to 14 or 30 days • Generate Markdown changelogs between any two versions On the Mac, Pro also adds native notifications when a release lands, an optional menu bar item, and a local MCP server that lets AI agents query your version history and changelogs. PRIVACY • Your repository list is stored locally and can sync via iCloud • No tracking, no analytics, and no third-party data collection REQUIREMENTS iOS or iPadOS 26.0 or later. Summaries require Apple Intelligence. DevPulse for Mac is a separate download.

What's New in DevPulse

1.11.0

Summarize any release, on your own device. Long release notes are distilled to a single line by Apple Intelligence, running entirely on your iPhone or iPad. No changelog is sent to a server and nothing leaves the machine. Summaries used to be limited to the releases inside your briefing window, so an older version had no way to get one; now any release whose notes are worth compressing has a Summarize button, in a repository's history and on every member of a combined group. Included with Pro. Also in this version: • Repositories can be marked deprecated, end-of-life, retired or relicensed, with a successor. A version number cannot express this: a retired project keeps its highest version forever, so it reads as up to date long after the right move became "move off it" • Helm charts link to the upstream project they package, so a chart and its source travel together • A Helm chart's changelog no longer repeats the chart's one-line description once per version, and renders as a version timeline instead • Summarizing shows how far along it is while it runs, instead of a spinner that could not be told from a hang • The Summarize button is a real button with room to hit it, rather than a line of small text wedged between two links • A generated summary looks the same everywhere it appears, and is highlighted so it reads as the distillation of the changelog instead of a footnote about it • The briefing digest appears reliably, survives navigating away while it is still being written, and no longer takes its whole sample from one busy repository • Exporting the same library twice now produces the same file
