Abandoned App?
I bought a dewalt laser measure for the express purpose of using this app, but it looks like it’s been abandoned. The last update was a year ago as web I try to create a user, I keep getting a message that reads, “ There was a problem connecting to the DeWalt ToolConnect server. Please try again later.” Which keeps me from using the app or the Bluetooth feature at all.

Money Grab In 2024
bought some new tools recently and noticed they came with the tool connect feature. tried over the span of 2 weeks periodically making an account on this app to servers no longer being supported and the tools i bought being old stock. Come to find out Dewalt is still promoting tool connect on their newest products and releases even though the app dosnt even work. do better

20V Max All-Purpose Area Light
I own many battery powered DeWalt tools, and this is just one more enjoyable tool to add to my collection. This app is nice, to be able to connect within a short distance with only Bluetooth is great; easy to download app and app works great, as advertised. Well worth the purchase of the light, and great to get a free app to use with the light.

Horrible measurement capture
For use with the dewalt lasers, it grabs the measurement just fine, but the storage system is almost archaic. Manual text input for names of measurements. Prompts you after saving every measurement if you’d like another instead of just going straight through. Interface for measurements is awful (their keyboard) and if you accidentally add a fraction, well guess you’re adding 1/32 to that measurement because there’s no way to clear it.
Exporting is where it really falls apart. It doesn’t export text, it exports a freaking jpg with a massive DEWALT logo in the bottom right corner which will happily sit on your measurements underneath.
Honestly this is such a poor excuse of an app for this tool. It may work well for some things but geez it’s bad for measurement.

I have found this drill three different times if I lose it and can’t find it I will buy another one. I love it greatest drill I’ve ever had.

Very straight forward app, I am starting a Dewalt tool collection and having the ability to further protect and track my tools is amazing. Thank you Dewalt
Not needed, but not upset either
I downloaded the app only because I saw my hammer drill had Bluetooth connectivity. Being able to see the trigger pulls and runtime on your drill is never something I knew I'd find interesting until now. Being able to disable the tool based on proximity is also handy. Tracking it due to theft is pretty cool as well.

Perfect app for Dome lights
This app is so helpful when you are using the dome lights, specially when you hang them, you can control the lights from your phone 😎

This app and ability is awesome! Especially when working a lot and cycling batteries! But my Dewalt battery has lasted so long since it’s last charge! Amazing and easy to use! Great job Dewalt!
Dewalt light
This is an excellent light that can be hung and be operated by the phone so your not up and down a ladder, it’s bright and that’s great BUT this light needs to be dual powered to get 5 stars.
Partially functional
I recently bought several connectors for my Dewalt tools, and then I added those connectors to the tool connect app. I thought well let me test it to see how this works, so I actually try to identify which tool had which connector and that function never seem to work. It always failed to identify the tool. Nothing ever happened when I tried to identify the tool through the app. I wish this did work as it seems like a very neat idea but unfortunately, without that capability, it makes it very hard to manage.

Been through the registration on the website, logged in there fine. Couldn’t log in to the app. Ok weird, reset my password, still no joy - no obvious route to support from the app if there are issues logging in. First impressions and all, pretty poor.
