Had expected so much more
After playing " The Abandoned Planet" I had expected more from this games developers. Maybe it was the porting, or my expectation issues but I just cant play this further. I expected a better storyline with an intriguing main character, this seemed more bumbling layabout who had more of a cliché worthless hero feel. I had several heartaches with path selection, item screens and just bad dialogue. Many of the puzzle interactions were frustrating, I knew what to do but couldnt due to not examining the item one more time or not clicking the appropriate interaction icon, it became tedious and unenjoyable. Path selection became frustrating as I would attempt to see where I could go and wind up moving to a place I didnt wish to, I think that was more of a port issue but still frustrating.. I will say the artistry was well done and the voiced actors were well performed, but when you have one adult female who I felt should have been the star, and one supposed hero who is the complete dipolar opposite of a person you expect to be adventuring in a successful business I feel they had little to work with. Some controls were nice to have, like tapping on the path icon a few times got the character to hustle along, but I felt a skip button or the ability to move through worthless dialogue or fast traveling could have been helpful. I look forward to other games the developers have since playing the much enjoyed "The Abandoned Planet" but I must shelve this one.

It's ok so far, but nothing special
I played the first couple of episodes so maybe it gets better but I'm not wowed by the game. I had my eye on this game for a while because the reviews are so unanimously positive- but so far it's just meh.
Maybe my bar is a little high right now because I just finished Slim Threads (amazing!) and Chants of Sennar (so unique) so this game just seems like it's trying but not quite hitting the mark. Voice acting is generally good except for the actress who does Aurora. She sounds flat and emotionless; and not in an intentional Aubrey Plaza way.
I really want to like this game so I'm going to finish it regardless, and hopefully the rest of the episodes will make me change my review. Will update if that's the case.

Great storyline!
This was such a blast and the nods to former genre classics was an excellent touch! We’re really looking forward to the 2nd half! Any plans in the works for a future release date?
