About
Dhyaan is a distraction-free meditation timer designed around structured, multi-stage practice. Configure up to six stages, each with its own interval and chime count, then sit back while Dhyaan guides you through the full session with gentle audio cues.
How it works
Before your first session, Dhyaan asks for your name. From that point on it greets you by time of day and offers a personal closing
message at the end of each practice.
On the home screen you configure your session as a sequence of stages. Each stage has two settings: the interval between chimes (in minutes or seconds) and the number of chimes. A single stage of 5 minutes x 3 chimes produces three evenly-spaced chimes over 15 minutes. Add more stages for a structured sit — a short settling period, a longer main practice, and a gentle close.
Tap Begin. Dhyaan plays a chime to mark the start of each interval and progresses through your stages automatically. A circular ring timer counts down the current interval; dots below it show your position within the current stage; the stages still ahead are listed beneath.
A richer, two-tone end bell marks the close of the full session, accompanied by the Sanskrit word Shanti (peace).
You can pause and resume at any time. Resetting returns you to the setup screen with your stage configuration intact.
