Finally upgraded to the paid for version. Wish it had a way to record exercise.
Excellent diabetic insulin calculator
I have only started using it but is very powerful the carb calculator could have more foods but that is available elsewhere
Good for the price
This is a handy app to have. I love that it keeps track of insulin on board. Haven't found other apps that do the same.
Drawbacks would be:
1. Not enough room to input all the little snacks and lows my little 3 yr old has.
2. Only 1 long-acting insulin can be added for a day ( we do 2 small shots a day). This is very minor concern to us though.
3. Only 1 possible target BG.
4. No graphs
It's a super easy user friendly app that helps us with day to day life. Thumbs up!

Good-but could be better (v1.3)
I am a type II insulin using diabetic so a lot of my needs are met by this app as well. Like another reviewer, I also can test more in a day than the entries allotted, especially when I am ill. So I would like to see the ability to enter additional BGl levels independent of meals. A time column would also be essential for me. It is also very useful to be able to see a graph of my BGl over a period of time - I know that my doctor used to like it when I would bring a graph (from a previous PC pgm) with me for my office visit. It would be great if I could just show the results to him on my iPod Touch!
All in all, a good app that takes some of the hassle out of my routine but still needs some essential upgrades.

Wow! Taking the math out of diabetes management
What an amazing tool! Well worth the $4.99! This app parallels the Bolus Wizard in the Minimed insulin pumps!

+ Helps to reduce hypos
After nearly 20 years with type one, I am now off the roller coaster which adds up to more energy, enhanced well-being, less stress and less guilt (for not maintaining records) on the emotional side.
In future enhancements, it would be nice if the app could program different target blood sugars for different times of the day; factor in insulin on board; report on averages for time of day without having to mess around with Microsoft Excel; provide options for exercise ratios (perhaps low, medium, high intensity); and allow for more than one entry per time of day.
