Love it
I loved this app in the heart of the pandemic ,connected with a lot of awesome people all over the world and and US, but deleted it as I got busy again with life,now that the world have gone mad (at least here in the US) I downloaded it again but it just won’t load 😭😭😭😭
WHAT? IT DOES NOT WORK!
why can’t I connect to the app? I only want to use it because i just want it for fun!
No longer works
Unfortunately this app is no longer functional. I downloaded it and it just shows a buffering icon. They must have stopped working on it.

Dailup is not working in 15 pro max 17.4.1, when I open the app screen is refreshing but not moving further to Dailyp page. Please fix the issue ASAP.

consider asking directly for a $ amount instead of generally. A LOT of us would pay monthly if only we just got access to a ✨Friend’s list!✨ So many lost connections! Of course, it would have to be mutual. not one stalking creep, but there’s a ton of friendly people who long for at least one old companion! Make it happen and name a price! Long live the app! Everyone is freaking about the news the app will shut down at the end of the year! Oop!
🍊 face (second review) is right on: Ignore anything during Quarantine when it WAS working. This is now a non-usable, nonfunctional app. Agree that reporting is of VITAL importance. I have gotten lots of racists…many condescending jerks, and most common of all—people who press you for your personal info, even though it’s against the rules. Lots of horny guys on here (80% men), no support, got the same callers for a while…now no callers. Wonder if anyone is actually getting connected anymore? Cause I was one of the last few.

Magical app
I LOVE this app. It’s magical. I first discovered it (as many of us did) during Covid in mid-2020. I was jobless, had plenty of time, and wanted to connect with other people. This app was a lifesaver. I chatted with so many lovely people from all over the world and realized that I wasn’t as alone as I felt. I can’t think of a single bad conversation, and I loved the rush of excitement every time I received a call. Every few months I’ll re-download it (my phone likes to un-download it sporadically) and experience the magic again!
The app can be a bit buggy, and there’s nothing worse than getting disconnected from someone that you were having a good convo with, BUT it’s gotten a lot better from how it was in 2020. I hope this app lasts forever!

Very energising
When I think about what gives me energy and motivation in life, this is amazing app is one of those things.
Somehow on here I once chat to someone from Uzbekistan longer than the 90minute limit and we had to continue the conversation over WhatsApp! I guess we were “startup kindred spirits” or something, and also we were fascinated by each other’s cultures.
Dial up is not just nostalgia, as a Millennial / 90s kid I grew up with landline but it’s is still probably my favourite way to communicate, because you can just concentrate on the voice - i tend to overthink if it’s a voice note sometimes, and it’s not quite the same. Indeed neuroscience is telling us certain brain areas only activated during live conversation.
Well it’s the 2020s now: texting is so time-consuming and yet many people don’t take a minute to answer their phones … well they do here, and if they don’t it doesn’t really matter because of how the app works; you’ll get connected to someone else soon enough. Long may it continue.

This app is broken, but fun when it works.
This app's possibilities are endless: both good and bad, most people you bet are awesome but there are some nightmares just like irl. The worst thing is that there's no improvement as they have openly abandoned the app. I can no longer rate conversations (such as reporting a bad caller!!) this puts people in uncomfortable situations where they will feel less safe/able to use this app. Also about 50% of calls drop! Agh! Picking up is also a problem. If this were a phone service/app it'd be 0 but because it's free it's holding up on its last leg.
Also as repeatedly mentioned, it's missing a ton of features! If you guys ever update or add features, even every year it would be a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️app.

not bad, but
i applaud the concept behind this app, but there are a lot of very low quality and dropped calls. also, is there a way for iphone users to see the screen name of their match during the call (i know it’s possible after the call)?
Fix feature
Please fix the app so it doesn’t hang up the call when I have it on speaker and lock the screen. In all of my other calling apps this isn’t a problem. I’m so used to doing it, in order to not press the anything by accident, that I end up hanging up on the other person.
The only good social network
Low-stakes random chats with people around the world; if you like old people (as you should) you’ll get a lot out of it.
Reminiscence me of IRC
The app reminds me of the old ‘Internet Relay Chat’ of the 90s. With this app though you will get connected to a random person at a time you choose. Talking to friendly strangers from all over the world, with different life experiences is the best thing about this app.

the app is great, but could you please adapt the bottom dock for newer iPhones? right now it’s obstructed by the home button.

Awesome idea...
I’m in love with the idea, but I’ve had the app downloaded for a few days and haven’t received any of the “daily random chat” calls. I wish there were an option to call at any time and have it link you up with whoever’s on.
Dropped calls constantly
My first experience a few weeks ago was great. We talked almost two hours, and I was wishing I had discovered this app at the beginning of the pandemic. Then today got someone who said she’s been using the app for about a year and some 50% of calls are dropped, and then we were disconnected after only four minutes. Very frustrating when you are enjoying a chat. Then I just got another call right after that one (the quarantine chat), and immediately it hung up (and labeled that I had hung up, which I hadn’t). This app would be great if it were reliable, but it’s frustrating to the point of being unusable when you keep getting disconnected.
