Great Game but Lots of Bugs
The board game version itself is wonderful, so my rating doesn’t reflect the game itself, it reflects the app. The interface and presentation are terrific. Intuitive and easy to use. However, this app seems like a beta version rushed to production. The AI player isn’t the smartest — lots of fatalities for the AI’s patients that give it a less than competitive score. And too many interface glitches. If I get four new departments in the hospital, the nodal won’t open to distribute staff so I’m basically stuck. Occasionally in two player mode, a fourth ambulance will appear. Once I mistakenly put staff in a department that needed value 1 or 2 dice when I didn’t have those dice. Instead of a warning I couldn’t do that, again I was stuck, until I noticed shimmering value 1 dice in an ambulance partly cut off at the bottom of the screen. After repeated pressing, I was able to select that ambulance (which shouldn’t be even partly visible in that phase of the game anyway), and I was able to continue. Some tool tips for descriptions of department tiles are for different tiles. Just a lot of issues, and these are only what I found after just 3 plays. For a $7 app, the QA on this was incredibly lax. I’m a software QA by trade and I wouldn’t have passed this for production. If these issues get fixed, it would be 5 stars. In its current state, the best I can give is 3.

Buggy, not intuitive
I’ve played the board game and this is buggy, doesn’t provide help on tiles and hard to figure out what to do. Very disappointed…
Good game, but app has some issues
3 main issues I’ve experienced.
1. Report button doesn’t work. Clicked and it stays on the Home Screen with no other windows or options linking
2. When choosing a room, occasionally the specialists or nurses do not pop up to allow you to select the worker. Game essentially freezes and does not allow you to continue. Happened 4 times now.
3. When viewing the new special tiles after selecting an ambulance, if you try to hover over or lightly select a tile, it does not register and instead shows what the tile underneath in the hospital does. Unable to see summary of new tiles before selecting.
Enjoy the gameplay and the overall presentation is fine, would be better with a save game option and the other fixes listed above.

The pure number of bugs is inexcusable.
First… simple interface issues.
Second… select an action and nothing happens.
Third… no ability, at all, to resume a game.
Fourth… no undo.
This game is one of my favorites. I own the actual board game and expansions. To see it so poorly recreated here is beyond saddening. I’m a professional programmer of 30+ years and this app is currently even worth fifty cents.

Great port, but then...
Killing a couple of AI opponents and coming down the home stretch in round 8.
And then the program froze. Very frustrating and, seeing some other reviews, not unique to my experience. It doesn’t happen every time but, having invested time playing an almost complete game, it really makes me mad having to abort. Without this problem, I’d give the app five stars. As it stands, though, my three stars are probably generous.

Excellent game, but app has some errors and usability problems
I have and love the physical Dice Hospital game, and the app is decent, but there are two big issues I hope they get around to fixing. When selecting an ambulance at the start of the round, you can’t see your hospital, which means you need to always remember what units you have. And when you’re the first player, you aren’t given the option to sort the dice...it just does it for you (in the actual rules, whenever the dice don’t fit neatly into the ambulances by value, the first player decides which ones go where).

Fun game, but AI needs work
I really like this game, but the AI is awful. It’s way too easy to beat and I can’t find how to change the difficulty. It also freezes up more than I would like.

It is a good implementation but is continuously hanging during round 8. I have seen it mostly at the opportunity to trade improvements to gain blood bags.

What a surprise to see this pop up! Loving this port - great UI, nice tutorial and a fun AI opponent! Everything I want in a digital board game. Thank you for taking the time to port this over!
