Absolutely game changing. As a late diagnosed dyslexic ,the classroom was a stressful place . I have used this app all week On a training course & have recorded ,transcribed and popped through the AI feature and have notes and am organised. I will use this at hospital appointments too . Thoroughly recommend

Well it’s impossible to read a white typeface on a white background. It’s been like this for years. Fix it please.
The introduction of a “button” to get to the deleted files is a better method than having to shake your phone or if the app doesn’t want to cooperate tapping it on a hard surface.
You can do better it used to be black typeface on a white background.

Nothing Special
There’s a perfectly good and free voice recorder already included with your iPhone. Why anyone would bothered to pay to have adverts removed from this second rate app is a mystery.

Accidentally Deleted Recordings
There is no help or option to recover deleted memos as I keep reading. It would be great if I could find someone to help with this before too late.
Would love to use my AirPods
I downloaded this last week and gave it a quick try, and it seems to work quite well. The only thing is I would love to be able to use it with my AirPods Pro, and use the microphone in those rather than the one on my iPhone. I can’t find a way to contact the developer, so I’m wondering if this might be a possibility?

Dictaphone app
I “had”really liked this app prior to the recent update. Before you press to record & it would record everything & i had bragged to other people how great this was BUT NOW it’s voice activated when you press record & it “doesn’t” catch the beginning part of what needs to be recorded nor the end. I hope there’s a new update to correct that problem

New 2023 version has a launch bug.
My previous review was: Good recording interface. Easy to use. Voice activation with tunable sensitivity, which is lacking in Apple’s Voice Memos. ‘Dictaphone Voice Recorder’ has decent voice file exporting and importing ability via Air Drop and Voice Memos, and iTunes. It sorts your files by date and you can name them however you want, and those things are absent in Apple’s Voice Memos. It still needs the ability to sort files by name and doesn’t have that. Reliable, but no support from publisher.

Faulty Recording Mechanisms
The recordings failed time and again. Without notification!! Absolutely devastating!!
Not voice activated - always recording faint background hiss
Always records background ambient noise - faint hiss on play back. Even least sensitive setting records the faint sound of A/C unit in otherwise quiet room. The sensitivity slider makes no difference at all.
Very good app
This works great, sound quality is good and I like that I can adjust the sound threshold for recording. A nice feature would be to be able to use a Bluetooth microphone as an option to the phones microphone.
