What happened to Learners tab
One of the great features of this app is the Learners tab to show how to use the word in modern relevant usage. What happened to it? It’s been gone for a while now. Frankly, the “examples” tab isn’t helpful. It finds the most hard to decipher obscure examples on the web that doesn’t help someone who’s unfamiliar with a word to learn its meaning within a typical context. Simple examples like the ones provided in the Learners tab is helpful. Thanks

Great app but one issue
The only problem is that they need to allow user to remove the non British words eg. Trash American language / either in the settings or having a British version. Or having a alternative slang & secondary versions of English
Fantastic tool for writes and professionals
Many updates over the years. Provides excellent Words of the Day, offers very solid word origins, entomology, and history; and showcases a superb thesaurus. Overall, an exceptional dictionary and linguistic app!

Access to words is fast and the source material is helpful.
What once was…
This app used to be quite good but recently for some reason, it keeps telling me there is no results found for certain words that are words and are spelt correctly. For instance, I looked up the word ‘sentient’ today and was again told that it has no results for that word. I don’t know why this is happening but it’s reaching a point where it’s becoming quite regular and bothersome so I might have to download a different app if this issue cant be fixed in the near future.

What happened to the help section asking, Did you mean this? when I cannot spell a word which shows alternatives to guide me? Paid for the upgrade after years of using this in the free version and this option is not working anymore. I am disappointed in the performance of the so called upgrade. Too many things turned off!

Not working
Been using the for some time do to phonetic issues now does not work even after “singing up”.
Buggy App
As of December 2024, this app has been extremely buggy.
Useless!
Stopped working & it's been a year since last update. Will be deleting this app & moving on to LookUp: English Dictionary. Bye!
Tracking with no way to say no
The first thing that happens when you open the app that you just paid money for is that they 'ask' you to accept tracking in a way that there is no button to decline it, no way to say no, with the only button being 'continue'. So I hit 'continue' figuring I would just go to Settings and change it afterward. I then went to Settings and there is no button or slider to control the tracking aspect. What a waste of time. If you love horrible user interface design and pretend choice that isn't actually choice, then I guess this app is for ... oh no wait it's still not for you, even so. Unrecommended.

Word explorer
I use this dictionary to check for meanings of words especially if what I read puts my understanding out of context. It’s also flexible enough to find the actual spelling of a word that I’ve misheard or mispelled.
