About
Stop guessing whether today is a dig day. DigDay scores ground conditions for metal detectorists from 0 to 100 — based on recent rainfall, soil moisture, temperature, wind, and beach wave height — so you know when to swing the coil and when to stay home.
Every detectorist knows the routine: check the weather app, cross-reference NOAA tide stations, dig through forum threads about your soil region, and still guess. DigDay does the math for you and turns it into a single score with clear reasons.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Set up your detector profile (VLF, PI, or multi-frequency) and your hunt site (park, farm, woods, beach).
2. DigDay pulls weather data and computes a 0–100 ground score using moisture, temperature, wind, and detector-soil interaction.
3. You get GO, CAUTION, or SKIP for today, plus 3–5 specific actions like "lower sensitivity 10–15%" or "target below winter berm."
It takes 30 seconds to set up. No account required.
