Horrific controls and no way to stop moving!
Try Digger - classic arcade. Much MUCH better. With options for “swipe” or (much MUCH) preferred joystick for decent movement.
Only drawback there is no bonus life like in original. Present version simply horrific doesn’t do arcade / original justice I’m afraid.

No control pad
Like others have said, no real controls. The lack of a D Pad type option makes it unplayable. This is a paid game. There is a free one that works great but has ads. How hard is it to just add a control pad?

Obsessed but please make one fix
I found this game a few years ago and I play it probably daily, love it so much. There is one issue though and please fix it! You get an extra life for every 20,000 but only to a maximum of 4 lives. In the original, you’ve got an extra life, regardless, I’m sure. It’s really hard to save up lives for the harder levels and I’m getting really frustrated. Please fix it so that you can get an extra life every 20,000 points and not cap them!

Can’t control it
This would be perfect if keyboard input was recognised and could control it, like the original. Using fingers to swipe it is simply not possible to control it properly. It is so disappointing to be so close to perfection, yet so far!!
Please fix maneuverability, but nice nostalgia fix.
Looks like original digger but the digger cannot move fast enough to evade attacks from hob goblins. If you had four directional arrow keys like on the keyboard originally it would work better and appeal to your target audience. It seems like you keep on getting lives instead of dying and i am not sure if it has any other levels? Does it? I didnt get far enough because the digger wouldn't maneuver away from the hobgoblins etc. so I didn't get to see. Looks good, fix it and i will reccomended to all my old friends 🙂

I love this simple arcade game. I used to play it as a kid and I could still remember some of the tips and tricks I used to use!
Digger review - no as good as the 1983 version
Swipe controls don’t do this legendary game justice. Need a virtual joy stick not swiping.
Needs controls other than a tap on the screen
It is difficult to manoeuvre the digger - he is automatically going at high speed, and to stop Digger it is a two finger press on the screen and to fire it is a one finger press on the screen. Therefore to stop Digger, turn around, and fire is impossible because as soon as you get Digger turned around he is going at high speed again🙁 so you run right into any Nobbins you may have turned around to shoot

I can't believe I found this game! My first game ever on a computer! I couldn't even remember the name but I always remembered the game and never thought it would still exist! Just like the original, the colours, the sounds, 'the characters', the music are exactly the same. I found a bit difficult to control the digger with the fingers but I guess you get used to it after a while. I am so happy I have this little gem on my phone 😊

The game looks like the old digger game but the controls make the game unplayable and there is no optional d-pad controller offered. Don't waste your money.

Unplayable unless you watch ads
The ads in this game are intrusive to the point of rendering the game unplayable. You have to watch video ads very frequently to play the game.
Potential scam!
Looks fun but when I run the app it asks me to login to my iTunes account to verify the purchase. Seems like a scam to get your iTunes info!
Fun game from the past
I loved playing this as a kid and finally getting to relive this on my iPhone. No ads and no in-app purchases - just like the good old days I guess :)
