Feels underbaked

This game should’ve got an update when dual cards were released, I barely understand them and this game could’ve helped me understand, but instead this game got 1 singular update replacing the 3 first starter deck tutorials with just 2 for the new Ace mechanic, and this game has been collecting dust ever since.
I’d complain more but the alysion starter decks are releasing in December and the game was stated to release sometime this year so yeah.

Not really helpful and poorly designed.

Now I went into this because I am a big fan of Digimon. Loved the show. Loved the characters. Loved the design.

I discovered that Digimon cards were still being produced and decided to see if there was a digital TCG game like with Pokemon. Sadly no but there is this tutorial.

It’s annoying for me to say this as a fan of Digimon, but it’s not good. It’s really confusing at times because it has no flow in how it teaches. Instead of seamlessly going through a game teaching you the rules as the game plays out, it abruptly stops with a menu to select the next lesson, breaking the flow the learning experience. A good tutorial would flow on like normal without pause and allow you to go back and select the sections that were taught like the included menu option, but it shouldn’t be the default.

You cannot really see the cards in your hand when you get more than 4. Selecting cards to view them should also include an option to play them/use them.

Unlike other TCGs it made it feel like there is one too many steps in this game.

Perhaps it’s this tutorial that is outdated (not sure when it was released) but if they were to fix a few things here and there, it might make me want to actually play the TCG. As far as it goes right now you’re better off trying to learn from a YouTube video.
