I shoot a lot of film including at WW2 reenactments. I always refer to the DDoF app when setting up my cameras for those events, and it’s always given me great results.
A great app, instantly gives detailed information on depth of field when planning a photograph; and a superb teaching tool in photography lessons.
Installed, didn’t open. Deleted and installed again. Still didn’t open. Rechecked compatibility - iOS 12. That checked out fine, too. I am sure this is working great for many folks, and I hate to leave such negative feedback, especially since the price is right and the developer seems to have been responsive, but maybe this note will reassure anyone having the same experience that they are not crazy.

Okay, on your camera you can visually see the depth of field but not always clearly enough on the screen. Nor in the view finder - if you have one! This app will let you plan ahead with precise settings. No wasted time and no disappointment when you see your enlarged image. Extremely helpful when choosing the lens in the first place.

I use this app a lot in some tricky photo shoots to make sure that I am getting the right depth of field for portraits
Handy app for zone focusing
Great app for use with my backyard bird photography. Helps me determine which fstop I use
A superb app.
This is a nice tool for setting depth of field. If you’re into Macro photography, you should get this app
I like this app and find it useful, especially for Large Format Photography. When entering the distance does one measure from the film plane/sensor plane or from the front of the lens. This is especially relevant for close-up work. In the case of my 8 x 10 camera there is an 18+ inch difference. I urge you to add this information to the app. Thanks.

I love this app! Punch in the numbers- know exactly why is in focus. Must have.
I refer to this app almost every time I shoot. Usually before I leave I check a few situations so I don’t waste time at the site. Invaluable!!
Will you be adding a version for the Sony Alpha 1? Why does the depth of field vary by camera model? Why wouldn't the depth of field be the same for all full-frame cameras?
Hyperfocal distances are inaccurate (not even close) with my digital cameras; for example on my Fuji GFX 100 it gives a hyperfocal distance of 8.45 feet at f/5.6 on a 23 mm lens. If using this calculation and focusing at 8.45 ft, the first ~12 feet is in focus while the entire background beyond that is very soft/blurred. The actual hyperfocal distance using the above camera/lens combo to make everything in the scene in sharp focus is ~22 feet. May be accurate for very small prints though. I’ve now found the only way to find the accurate hyperfocal distance for each lens and f-stop and camera is testing by trial and error with a tape measure.

I really love this app! So helpful when I have a group of people especially. Tells he everything I need to know ams how far to stand back. Love it!
This app makes it really easy to figure out your depth of field very quickly!
Do you plan on adding the A7R IV to this app?
Love the app! Would be awesome to be able to enter t-stops.
I use this in all my cameras. I don’t have the think to get everything in focus.
Of all the cameras you have and yet no Olympus, not one...! 🤦🏼♂️
