What's New in digitalScore, read sheet music

8.0

September 11, 2026

digitalScore 8 brings a new home screen, annotations across two pages, a rebuilt practice view, and a Siri that knows what is in your library. TODAY, YOUR NEW HOME The new main screen gathers your recent scores and playlists, your practice at a glance, and a single search that looks across the whole app: scores, playlists, archived scores, tools and tips. Discover, with curated lists of pieces ready to play, and the interactive tips live here too. ANNOTATE IN DOUBLE PAGE Two pages side by side no longer require Play Live, and you can write on both of them. Zoom, stamps and every annotation tool work right across the spread. MORE WAYS TO READ Play Live can now scroll the score vertically instead of turning pages. There is also a pure black background, and an option that turns annotations on as you zoom in, which is handy if you write with your finger rather than an Apple Pencil. PRACTICE, REDESIGNED The practice view has been rebuilt. Compare one period against another, see where your hours are going, and earn new awards as they add up. IMPORT FROM ANYWHERE A new share extension sends several scores at once from any other app straight into the folder you choose. Google Drive and Dropbox links are supported too, so a whole shared folder comes across in one go. SIRI, SHORTCUTS AND SPOTLIGHT The new Siri can see what is in your library, so you can simply ask for a score or a playlist. Your library also turns up in Spotlight, and you can build your own shortcuts to open the metronome, archive a score or share a playlist. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE Compatible with iOS 27. The app now adapts to any window size on iPhone, so it behaves properly side by side, on an external display, and through iPhone Mirroring on the Mac. Plus a faster library, steadier iCloud syncing, and a long list of fixes across the app. Thank you for the feedback and the bug reports. A good part of this release came from them.

Powerful!

This is way more deep and useful than forscore. It’s a total sheet music solution as opposed to just a reader. It’s a musician’s companion. Brilliant.

Perfect

Way more intuitive than ForScore in my opinion and just as feature rich. Has things that forScore does not have too. Recommended.

Facial page turn stopped working

I have pro and face turn no longer works. Also when i add pdfs that i converted from a photo the score glitches, zooms in when opening the pdf and does not let me view the entire score. Just a zoomed in version of it. Used to lobe this app please fix this

Great App, Great Support

I’ve been using DigitalScore for a few years now with no issues. It is easy to set up, intuitive in use, and works seamlessly with my pedal page turner. I’ve got about 150 songs between three bands; documents are easy to manage and use.
Why write a review now? I experienced an issue yesterday with viewed page size and nothing would fix it. I contacted support expecting to wait for a week or so, but they replied in a matter of hours and provided a fix this morning. A great app and excellent service - thank you 😀
