Scam, avoid at all cost!

They will routinely charge you without permission for services not permitted, raise prices without disclosing, and if you want to discontinue your subscription, they threaten to charge an extra $100 fee. Bad vendors, overpriced services, no call no shows, and they won’t refund the overcharges when they occur. Bad business, even worse customer service. Run.

Sold membership then told not available in my area

Was sold the membership plan for Digs and then a month or so later when it came time to provide services Digs all of a sudden was not available “in my area.”

Services rendered are not worth the price point

I gave it about 8 months to test and the idea is that my home maintenance would be hands off. When you add up the monthly cost of each service, the full cost of each service is around 1.5-2x of what I would pay normally from vendors around the city on top of annual fee. I wanted to give it a shot anyway to see if it could reduce the mental load we had. There was no consistency of vendors which I| don't like. I prefer having the same companies in and out of my home for security reasons first of all.
Secondly, I was just cancelled on within about an hour of the expected time for someone to clean our vents. Not only did I take off of work for this, but they should have confirmed the appointment earlier than today. A last minute cancellation is unacceptable for the price point. When I called to cancel, they had the audacity to charge a final bill even though today's service was not rendered. The services were not priced fairly (obviously not because they don't even get bids from vendors as demonstrated in a vendor review below) and the premium is supposed to make sure you don't have to worry about things, but in reality it was just an additional middle man that I had to schedule through and they proved 1 couldn't trust a sense of reliability with a same day cancellation.

I am adding screenshots of the prices per service offered along with screenshots of promotions directly with other companies so you can see the comparable.

Gutters $24x12 months=$288 which is $144 per visit. Promotions within the city are $99 for the same service.

HVAC cleaning $14.83x 12 months= $177.96 which is $88.98 per visit Promotions within the city are $49 for the same service

Pest control $38.33 per month. We actually pay our current company $28 per month

Dryer vent cleaning $13.75x 12 months = $165 per visit in comparison to $69 promotions within the city

Air duct cleaning $27x 12 months = $324 per visit in comparison to $99 promotions within the city.

Current promotions of $129 for duct and dryer vent COMBO in comparison to the annual cost at digs being $489 and when I spoke to that company, they would do the bathroom vents complimentary with the service.

Bathroom vent cleaning $6.25x 12 months = $75 per visit per bathroom vent

I only did 3 services because of the price issues I had, but if I did everything they suggested, The total annual cost included the discounted annual fee I negotiated of $49 would be $1688.92

The cost of me doing the same services myself would have been $761. I feel confident in saying that even without today’s last minute cancellation, the services they render are not worth a difference of $927.92.

Took my money, didn’t provide any services and haven’t received a refund since

Digs was super responsive when they got me signed up to their services. But that all went away once I got signed up. After that it was a month of me consistently needing to follow up with them about trying to get my services scheduled. Come to find out they never found providers to do these services for me. After a month of waiting I requested a refund and they obliged, but it seems like we’re back to this back and forth in trying to get my money back as well!

Requires a meeting??

Seems like they should realize the kind of customer who needs house care management wants to do so online and is not going to want/be able to book a call in the middle of the work day to discuss it (and only 2 time slots were available, total)
