“Who would say no to this?”
This app is great because it is probably the most comprehensive free personality test out there, and has a nice UI, but the question selection is very lacking. Roughly 30% of the questions are just completely useless and whoever wrote/writes them would do well to ask themselves “who would say no to this?”. You need a diverse cast to make these questions. It is clear that very few people—and particularly very few personality types—created them. Moreover, another good third of the questions are just rephrases of previous questions. The question repertoire needs a serious review.

Mostly awesome
Make an iPad version. Enable a trial period or monthly subscription instead of just yearly — WTH. Otherwise the app is quite fun, extensive, and interesting. The questions can be a bit cut-and-dried and the answers don’t always include one that “fits” (has the appropriate nuance), but still better than 90% of the personality assessments out there. Keep improving it and I might subscribe ツ

Going downhill due to ai
I love this app but I have noticed that the ai generated experimental stories have gotten way less accurate (I have friends who use it who agree). I don’t think the ai driven stories were horrible at first (though it would still reach sometimes) but now it’s just like “huh???” Also weirdly sexual 😂

Annoying and Constant Ads for Paying Customers
I’ve been a paid user for over 3 years and I’ve raved about dimensional to everyone when it has been relevant to the conversation.
But I’m sick of the constant upselling and cross-selling. I have paid about $100/year, which is with the annual contract, so you’d think it would be the best experience.
Far from it. My home feed is now 50% ads. Since launching their dating app INNI, they overly promote it in every space in their app. They don’t seem to care if you’re in a relationship or not.
I’m also subjected to *Sponsored* ads for BetterHelp throughout the app.
I’m sorry, but aren’t I your sponsor?
And after all these years of being a premium customer, you’d think I’d have full access to the app, but there are still reports I can’t access because I haven’t invited enough people to use their app.
I find it ridiculous that paying the highest tier plan still subjects customers to gross ad saturating and a ridiculous product led growth mechanism that gates value I’ve payed for.
Maybe weigh the value of that PLG against customer lifetime value, especially since you’ve leaned into tracking traits over time, because I’m done with the app.
