When I downloaded this you could see all the recipes, now they added a monthly sub paywall. Lame.

This app is absolutely incredible! Within just a few minutes of checking it out, I upgraded to the premium plan. As someone who’s trying to get back into the gym consistently and struggles to eat healthy when work gets busy, I needed something to simplify the otherwise overwhelming grocery shopping and cooking process.
Diner has a ton of healthy, delicious meal ideas—exactly what I was looking for. There are so many options, and the creativity that went into these recipes is seriously impressive. I also love that so many of the meals are affordable, time-efficient, and high in protein.
Being able to add ingredients directly to my cart and then follow clear, concise instructions has made sticking to my diet so much easier (and healthier). I can also see how long each meal takes to prep, which helps me plan what to make throughout the week.
I have a Trader Joe’s relatively close to my apartment complex, but I’m excited for more grocery stores to be added so I can use the app wherever I go. Overall, I highly recommend this app to anyone looking to make grocery shopping and meal prep a total breeze—10/10!

Need subscription & Use of AI
Smart idea, but executed horribly. First, the use of AI photos for the recipes just shows the lack of creativity. Second, you need a subscription to look at more than five recipes and nutritional info, etc (although pretty sure the subscription doesn’t show that much more recipes).
I know this app is new, so hopefully they do a lot of upgrades because it is a good idea. Also, I noticed at least one recipe was missing ingredients (I know because I’ve cooked it before and it’s all over tiktok).

great idea
saw the app on tik tok and thought it would be a game changer for grocery shopping and planning meals. unfortunately the app is not very useful unless you pay for the subscription. i don’t mind not being able to see all recipes but you can’t use the majority of the filters (only filter available for free is cuisine type), can’t see the nutrition information, and can’t even sort the available recipes and instead have to scroll through to find which of the fraction of recipes are available without paying. you also cannot use the meal plan feature and can only save 3 recipes without upgrading. its a great idea but i am very disappointed by how the majority of the app is restricted to only those willing to pay for the subscription.

Went viral and now you have to pay
I downloaded this app and was able to see all of the recipes after bug fixes since I couldn’t make an account. I checked the app sometime yesterday and I was able to see everything. Now you need to upgrade and pay to see the recipes. I guess they have to make money? But sucks because something told me to take screenshots. I will not pay for the app but great idea. I hope someone else does it without charging.

Not free to use
I was really excited to use this app, even waited for all the bugs to be fixed to use it… don’t waste your time. You have to pay $4.99 a month now just to use the app. It was advertised to me as free, so this was really disheartening. This was a really great concept that could’ve helped people, but people get money hungry fast I guess :(

Quick Switch Up?
I was recommended this app by a Tik Tok video, so I downloaded it this morning. Everything recipe was available to view, now I just went back to check it out and see a few recipes are under premium content and a subscription is required. I understand the fee is pretty low, but with subscriptions becoming the norm for EVERYTHING, I am disappointed to see it happen again :(

Please fix!
I’ve attempted over several days to sign in/sign up and it just goes back to sign up/sign in. I’d love to use this app if it will work!
Too many locked features
Login issues aside, once I was able to create an account, there weren’t very many valuable features I could use without paying for the subscription. Listen, I think this app has really great potential and I love the idea but truthfully I think it’s too new for me to justify paying $5. I’d love a free trial at least to decide if it will work out. I also think it’d be great if I could create my own recipes. I also think it’d be nice if you could sort/filter by dietary preferences. Think that would be great for allergies as well.
I understand this app is new and that’s a lot of suggestions, but I really wouldn’t write a review if I didn’t think that this app would be an absolute game changer with a few tweaks!

Very convenient, but I wish they didn’t use AI images.
I had not trouble signing into this app with my Apple ID. The recipes are easy to choose from and follow. This is an incredible app concept and I’m so happy to have found it. Everyone needs to be patient though. The app creator couldn’t have predicted going viral and obviously has to catch up in order to be able to handle all the sudden traffic. Tanking their App Store rating is crazy.

This App is awesome. I hav busy work weeks which don’t leave room to plan meals and spend time in a grocery store. I love how easy it is to pull up a recipe and have all the information in front of you. Super user- friendly app once I got set up.

I love Diner! It’s introduced me to so many new food ideas and the recipes stay in a calorie range that is important to me while trying to stay consistent with fitness.
