Amazing game by amazing developer
The person who developed this game (Seth?) is such a wonderful human. He made a game many years ago called L.O.R.D. (Legend of the Red Dragon). This was a BBS game for modem - if you know what this means, you know! I ran a small BBS and Seth was so great to work with.
His story lines and sense of humor are legendary (see what I did there). Thank you for this treasure and the UPDATE! I’ll be playing all night and wish this developer would create more content or more games.
Thank you - if we can send you money with Venmo or PayPal say the word!

Memory Lane
I played this growing up and could never remember the name, but recently found it on Reddit. I played the whole game from my iPhone 15 pro without a problem, the only issue was that I couldn’t see how much coin I had due to the white bar that’s present at the bottom of the screen in Game Mode. Some of the mods are not iPhone friendly. Pilgrim’s quest for example (one of the more popular mods), doesn’t offer a phone friendly way to type in riddle answers. I plan to try from my MacBook- even though this app is only for iPhone/iPad.

Great sense of nostalgia!
I first played Dink Smallwood in about 2001. My family didn’t have a good pc growing up but could easily run Dink. I spent hours on the game and got a little better at it each time around. I’m 31 years upon writing this review and found the game in the App Store. I quickly downloaded the game and was able to complete it after a few hours of gameplay. Thank you to the Dink Smallwood team for creating a special and nostalgic game. Hopefully this message can get through to the Dink Smallwood team so that they can read about my appreciation 😊

Cute game from childhood
Dink Smallwood (originally called "Nobody Burns My Dog") is a great game from my childhood growing up in the 90s, made by legendary BBS game producer Seth Robinson (creator of Legend of the Red Dragon).
Dink is a short game thats relatively easy to play and beat. The port is a little difficult to play on the iPad, but it plays great on M1/M2-equipped Macs. Highly recommend!

Still good
This is still a great game!
Best game for iPhone!
Hi I’ve never written a review before; I dunno who made this game but it’s the best game in the iPhone. I dunno how I found it, it’s fun me funny and mystical somehow with that little gnome wizard guy. I don’t play any other game on iPhone ever or even text people, this game gives me a reason to use my phone.

Excellent game
Excellent game, and the d-mod support adds an incredible amount of extra content.
It would be great if mfi controller support was added as iCade isn’t really used anymore.

Works well on mobile
*Note*
The Pilgrims Quest D-mod cannot be completed towards the end of the game. The game does not detect the F key on iOS for some reason, and Dink cannot leave the Robot.

My favorite!
I have played this with my dad several times and downloaded it again while quarantining. Still great and love every second of it!
Excellent
So excited to find this on the app store! I had this when it came out on my laptop, great sense of humour. Plays very well on mobile!
Great Port! Nintendo Switch Version?
I would love to see this appear on the Nintendo Switch. I mean… I’d buy it.
Beautiful game!
Thank you so much Seth for the back port!
Quality
Haven’t played original pc version, but it is pretty fun on ios
Almost perfect
Tried every which way I can think of but for whatever reason the gamevice app says it’s supported. However the Icade function in dink refuses to stay on and detect my remote when attached. Very disappointed as I love dink Smallwood and played it all the time on pc. Would have loved it on my phone. Please developers fix this issue would love to see the compatibility fixed for gamevice.

Superb retro nostalgia!
This game is absolutely a real feel rpg, in comparison to legend of Zelda!
But, even better!
Once you allow yourself to play, and actually get in to it, it becomes more and more fun!
Slow starting, but necessary, to unfold what this retro style rpg has to offer!
Didn’t mind starting as a pig farmer!
Added to the playful story of Dink!
Quirky, has 80s slang, bizarre dialogue, and much much more!
Singed, Satisfied!

Good for a while
The controls take a small amount of getting used to(mostly having the interact and attack buttons so close together), but this is a really fun free game. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I talk to Mary and her mother the Mysterious Guy in the bar won't spawn, so I can't progress very far in the story.

Super
Like this game very much. Thank you developers!
A classic PC adventure, still fun today :)
This game is not perfect, a bit rudimentary and wonky in some ways, but boy is it fun if you can put up with it. I never finished the main quest in the past, so playing all the way through here was extra sweet.
And it looks like rtsoft opened the floodgates, and now we have access to many dink mods (user-created worlds) right from the mobile app!
If you really fall in love with this game you can even develop your own content and submit it, although I think that would require a PC.

DO NOT BUY! Worst controls ever
This game has the worst controls I have ever experienced. It makes the game unplayable. Such a shame, I was really looking forward to playing this game as I loved it so much on PC. I have played similar games from the App Store and the controls are fantastic. I don't even know how this game made it through testing....some developers will need to be fired I think!
