About
You know roughly why you lost on Sunday. Your third shot kept popping up, or you got beaten down the line all night. You have court time on Wednesday, forty-five minutes, one partner, and a bucket of balls — and no idea what to actually do with any of it.
Dinkwell writes the practice session.
Tell it what went wrong in your own words. Point at the part of the court where you're losing points, pick the shot, and choose what actually happens: it pops up, it sails long, you panic and speed it up. Then tell it what you've got tonight — how many minutes, who showed up, whether they're better or worse than you, and whether there's a wall, a ball machine, or just a bucket of balls.
You get a timed session built for that weakness under those exact constraints. Real drills, in order, with minutes that add up to the time you actually have and a line under each one explaining why it's there.
Then it checks whether the weakness closed.
BUILT AROUND WHAT'S ACTUALLY GOING WRONG
Every other app in this category stops at diagnosis. Court finders find you a game. Rating apps record your level. Video apps make you film yourself on a tripod and hand back statistics. Drill libraries give you a list and leave you to prescribe from it.
Dinkwell keeps a running profile of your weaknesses and composes tonight's session against it. Log a weakness once and every session after that is built around it until it closes.
A SESSION THAT FITS TONIGHT
The same weakness produces a completely different session depending on what you've got:
• 30 to 90 minutes, and the blocks add up exactly
• Alone, with one partner, three of you, or a full four
• A partner below you, at your level, or above you
• A bucket of balls, a wall, a ball machine, cones, or nothing at all
• Full court, half court, or just a practice wall
Practising alone with nothing but a paddle? You still get a real session — and Dinkwell tells you honestly how much useful work there is rather than padding it out.
52 DRILLS, NOT A LIST
Every drill has a setup, numbered steps, a single coaching cue, and a success marker that tells you when to move on — "you own it when 7 of 10 drops land in the kitchen from a standing start."
Browse the whole library by skill and setup any time: dinking, third shot, resets, serve and return, speedups, footwork, volleys, lobs and overheads.
RUN IT COURTSIDE
Prop your phone against your bag. Each block gets a full-screen countdown, the cue in big type, and the next drill waiting underneath. Add two minutes, skip a block, or pause when someone wants the court.
THEN FIND OUT IF IT WORKED
After the session, say whether each weakness got better, stayed the same, or got worse. Your progress ledger moves as the answer accumulates — Open, Working, Closing, Closed — so you can see whether four weeks of drilling actually shifted anything.
That's the question a plateau really asks, and nothing else in pickleball answers it.

A NOTE ON INJURIES
Dinkwell builds skill practice, not rehabilitation. If something hurts, it will say so and point you to a professional rather than prescribe around it.
