Okay for just getting started
I love the concept of this app. We used it for a few weeks with our kids. I would have kept using it, but it started glitching out in several areas and it is no longer supported in any way. I tried contacting support and the email was bounced back to me. Any glitches are there to stay. We did take the concept though and apply it with a google sheet instead.

I’ve learned my financial lesson: cancel the app
The app costs $30 per month. I love the idea of teaching kids financial literacy however as the app provides nothing that couldn’t be done for free it feels hypocritical to spend over $300 per year to teach kids this way. The customer support is sticky giving refunds, even for just one month. I’ve learned my lesson.

Love the new updates
The app has changed and I love the new updates. Easy to create gigs, expectations, and expenses for my kids. The PDF feature is phenomenal and organizes it for each of my kids. I can just print it out and place it on our family board. Highly recommend this app!
Best app ever
This app is the best! My son was addicted to his phone, and once he downloaded this app, his lifestyle changed, for the better. He now is a very good boy, with life skills that he didn’t have before :)
Can't access terms and conditions
Getting error codes about the host server being unreachable and I can't read the terms and conditions or privacy statement. Can't find reviews for this program anywhere and there just seems to be continual problems.

Fraud
Gravy Stack, now Dinner Table, is holding my children’s money hostage in a Lineage Bank Account that they can no longer access or use. I would avoid this app!
Doesn’t update a recurring gig’s due date?
Had a feeling that the app was not there yet, the most recent feedback entries confirm this…. Too bad that the book message is amazing and people are onboard but then it fails in the execution with the app. I would think that the founder that states that he is a millionaire and is teaching kids the same principles would be able to invest in developing an app that works and makes it simple to get a family going with their system. Will have to figure out how to this with our family manually vs getting frustrated with the app.

Terrible
It never really worked. They don’t have a customer support line and they don’t answer their emails. We couldn’t get a hold of anybody, and our money was stuck,
My kids love this!
My favorite part of this app are the weekly print out sheets. My kids hated doing chores, but they love talking about the value they can create. We are having much more positive and empowering conversations with our 3 kids now!
Solving the real problem for parents
Even though there’s been several updates, it’s apparent that GravyStack is committed to solving the problem parents have. How do I motivate my kids? How do make money a connector and not a conflict igniter? I love the focus on creating value first above all things.
Don’t bother. Doesn’t work.
After they collect a bunch of your personal information to set up, I can’t it get to work. Log a support ticket they tell me to come back in a few weeks after the next release.
$ transfers have stopped completely with no warning!
I was so excited about this app. Like others, my kids did not enjoy the text heavy games and clunky operations. While the concepts are great, they are only great if the kids are engaged. It became solely a payment system which would have been much simpler to do through our own bank where the kids could reimburse us if we had to pay for something and they didn’t have their card.
Last week my kid tried to make a purchase with their debit card and it wouldn’t work. I emailed customer service and was told there was an issue with the bank transfers with their vendor and they weren’t sure when it would be functional again. A few days later I get a message saying “they are currently transitioning to a virtual ledger system”, but we have decided to go in a different direction. Another reviewer said (and I agree)…it seems we were paying to beta test the app. That is incredibly frustrating.
While I have had good success with hearing back from customer service, we do not want to continue using this service. We have cancelled our subscription. I have been told I will receive a check in the mail. Which is odd because all our transfers were electronic to begin with. But I will update when/if we receive our $ back in hand.

Cancelled and can’t get my money back
Has been over a month and a half with half broken email responses from customer support to try to get my balance back via check in the mail. No customer support to actually talk to. Scott the owner doesn’t answer messages, can’t email customer service back. This company is a joke. Don’t sign up unless you like losing your money.

Could be great but needs work
We have been using GravyStack For a bit now. It is definitely motivating for the kids to get them involved in household chores. That part has been great. The educational part is geared towards older kids. My second grader was frustrated and stopped using the app entirely. I let him use my phone to mark off his gigs. I like how the app is laid out but there are a bunch of annoyances. It is very slow to load. Text entry and such is also very annoying and awkward (though don’t use that often… mainly when having to message support or create/edit gigs). One of the biggest frustrations for us is that one child received his card while the other has not (well over a month). Hoping the company gets this all resolved and improved… Meanwhile, we are also evaluating some of the other choices out there that seem to have better apps and more reliable card delivery.

Please invest in developers
Love everything about the vision and the philosophy laid out by the founder. It’s simply not a well developed app. We’re sticking with it for now, but are really hoping to see more intuitive functionality, less glitches, quicker load times, visibility into kids notes, etc.
Teach your kids to be better than you every day.
I never had any financial literacy as a child. My parents were young when they had me and I had to learn all this stuff the hard way.
I met one of the founders at an event and spoke to him about this and loved the concept.
I just started using it and it’s exciting to start teaching my son how to use it and to earn money.
The app is a little clunky but they are working away to update it and make it better for us. Don’t knock it because it isn’t perfect - the concept is amazing.

Can’t transfer out of save
I like the idea, but the app is super clunky and now that my kids have money in save, it’s impossible to move back to spend no matter what I do. I likely will not renew and frankly wasted 100 to be a beta tester.
