DipStrike is an offline-first field notebook built for structural geology. Its high-contrast controls, large capture targets, and quick sensor workflow are designed for gloves, glare, and hands-busy work. Record manual or sensor-assisted strike/dip and trend/plunge readings. Speak a field note and review its on-device transcript and structured fields before saving. Track sample bags by QR code, add GPS waypoints, browse an online field map, and export measurements or samples as CSV. Version 1.0 is free and stores field data on your device. No account or purchase is required. Sensor readings can be affected by magnetic interference and device placement. Confirm critical readings with appropriate field instruments and professional judgment. What’s New (1.0): The first DipStrike release: manual and sensor structural readings, voice field notes, sample QR logging, GPS waypoints, online maps, CSV export, and sunlight mode—all with an offline-first, on-device workflow.

DipStrike V1.1 rebuilds the field measurement workflow. • New compass + clinometer for strike/dip and trend/plunge, with live heading, dip direction, magnetic or true-north reference, stability averaging and GPS. • See a clear orientation diagram after every locked measurement. • Find GPS-stamped readings, specimens and waypoints on the field map. • Samples are now flexible specimen records: collected or left in place, with automatic IDs, optional bag details and photos. • Keep the current campaign’s measurements, notes, specimens and waypoints together in a named Field Project. • Added in-app FAQ, About, privacy policy, feedback and App Store rating actions. • Fixed specimen photo saving, unwanted landscape rotation and general reliability issues.
