What a Joke
I’ve had some version of DTV for over a decade. The streaming service is the worst. Not only do they cut off recordings early, they record them in Spanish, even though I am an English primary speaker.
They charge a FORTUNE for services that now I can get from the SCHN network, because all I really want are my Astros.
Don’t do it if you can choose any other platform!

Love This App
Easy to navigate this excellent app !
Costly
Price jumps up, lower you package to save money and it jumps back within a few months.
Can’t use the app on vacation!
So frustrating, when I pay for the service why don’t they let me use it!

If you’re thinking of cutting the cord…do it. This streaming service is as good, if not better than the greedy cable companies.
NO CLOSED CAPTIONING?
Trying to watch the Emmys on my iPad. “CLOSED CAPTIONING NOT AVAILABLE”??? I can see them on my Windows laptop! But right now I need to watch them on my iPad. This sucks!
Defect: play index not reset
Note: this is for the android tv app.
During playback of a recorded show the current time index is not reset when exiting playback and playing another. This causes the new recording to start playback at the last position instead of the beginning. I’ve been working with Java and customer focused system integration for 20 years. I can help.

Ridiculous
To much money for when a show starts late they don’t record past the original time slot. Along with multiple other problems from day 1 I’m canceling my account and will not deal with them again.
Can’t Sign in
Can’t sign in anymore. Just gives error. Deleted app and reinstalled and still the same. Can’t use the app anymore because it won’t let me login. FIX IT!

Laggy/price keeps going up
Most laggy app I have to the point of very frustrating while surfing for something to watch. Price has increased significantly since I first joined. If I didn’t need it for sports I wouldn’t have it.

No matter what I do the app doesn’t load. It’s updated and I can’t watch anything. It just says come back later.
DirectTV 4 Me
I am NOT a sports fan AT ALL. I like being able to choose from their genre packs. I chose the entertainment pack which comes with free ad-ons such as AMC+, Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ and HBO MAX (all are the basic packages) which allows me to have plenty to choose from for my entertainment. Today I added the News Package which has my locals. I may keep the News pack or just keep my Entertainment Package depending on my finances. At least I get a choice. I’ve tried every streaming service out there. Direct TV is best for me!

Biggest game of the season and cannot watch due to this BS with ABC
Update has made it a pain
Based on the ridiculous amount of channels that I can stream, I am clearly getting ripped off for paying for the satellite cable boxes.
And at some point, they updated this app so that I need to sign into it about every third time. I open it instead of just being able to watch games on my phone.
So have your password saved so you can copy it and it’s going to constantly ask you to connect a DVR that they know you do not have
