How I’m streaming away from home???
I dunno if it’s a bug or someone in my family though they picked their profile
Unsure if this is still a good choice
Price keeps going up with no improvement in service. In fact I keep losing networks and service with no offer to customers for any compensation. I feel I must seek out better choice of service soon.
Sound
Ridiculous that the app decreases and increases volume at whim.
App not Working on iPhone
App loads but not allowing me to sign in.
Fix the problem!
Bring back 41 KSHB TV to your lineup!
Would be nice to review my channels
Why is reviewing my channels not available?
Poor streaming and overpriced.
The streaming frequently freezes and kicks off. The cost continues to rise while service and better programming do not improve.
Keeps me company
Direct tv go keeps me company at my solitary work on 3rd shift. I can keep it in my pocket and play along with Family Feud for example or listen to a favorite movie that I can picture in my mind while im doing my work. There is plenty to pick from although I wish my favorite movies would be accessible more often.

Bad
The sound comes and goes as it wishes
Recording
Can not count or rely on recording a favorite, this streaming BS is no good, should have left programming the way it was and it worked just fine 😡😡😡😡😡
Help center
Your help center is awful
App starts itself CONSTANTLY
This app will not close out. No matter if I force quit it, it springs to life when it feels like it. Like today at 4:12am when audio starts playing from my locked phone on the nightstand like it was a damn alarm clock.
Please address this issue. It’s been going on more months and I have mentioned it here before. This app will not stay closed and fires itself up whenever it wants to.

Still forcing sign-in through email & password?
I watch mostly live sports on your app. Every three weeks or so, you all force a logout and require me to sign-in. When the Apple use my device works (which is rarely), it is fine. But that works rarely as I said. Then I am required to use your antiquated sign-in system. All the content providers have adopted the QRS code so instead of watching on your app, I watched on ESPN, Fox1 or Peacock or Hulu. You guys really need to step up your technology game.

Best TV system ever
DirecTV is easy to get to your favorite channels and their customer service is always exceptional.
I love direct tv
Very cool
Still needs work
Update: I honestly need someone to explain why streaming companies are so bad with their product. DirecTV is better than YouTubeTV by a long ways, but still much worse than Fubo. If Fubo carried NBC I'd still be using them at $25 more a month, that's how much better they are.
- DirecTV does not have a preview when you skip ahead so you know where you'll start. This is an essential feature that should have been implemented long ago. YouTubeTV is superior with this feature.
- In 2026 autoplaying on start should always be in settings to be disabled. We don't subscribe to channel surf, we know what we want, let the customer choose that and then start watching. Nothing worse than an app that just starts making noise, especially when I only opened it to set up a recording. Major miss here.
I missed a golf tournament because it's set to record PGA events and missed the Scottish open. This is unacceptable, I subscribe entirely to record this content and watch later, missing it means your product is not trustworthy and useless.
- I will continue searching for a streaming provider that gets it. DirecTV is a poor short-term solution. I will never subscribe to anything without a DVR feature, no Peacock, ESPN, CBS, Paramount, etc. For us. We choose to watch nothing over watching with commercials. We will never watch a show that contains commercials. In fact, we'd pay double or triple to have a streaming provider that automatically stripped all commercials from everything. We'd easily pay $300-350 a month. Commercials are the worst.
Original:
I had to move on from Fubo because they no longer have NBC, so I decided to try the 5-day trial with Direct TV and realized they autoplay channels on launch with no ability to disable autoplay (even if you set to start on the home menu). This is an absolute deal breaker for me. I never ever want an app on my phone or TV to start making any noise on launch.
I will be canceling my subscription at the end of the 5-days and trying YouTube TV. Whoever decided that this is a good idea should be relieved of their decision making duties, I read so many posts about this issue while I was trying to figure out if I could turn it off. Between this and the absolutely ridiculous password requirements I wonder how they have any subscribers.

Fix your app
Constantly signs you out
DirectTV
The option to record is nice. Question is whether it’s worth what they are charging. I’m leaning towards canceling my subscription. Not interested in funding the huge TV contracts with the NFL, MLB or NBA.
