Read any ingredient label, in any language, and see how processed your food is. Point your camera at the package — Spanish, Japanese, German, Portuguese — and DirektLabel reads the label and scores the product 1 to 10. High means less processed; low means the ingredient list reads as an industrial formulation. Every product lands in one of four bands: Whole Food (10), Minimally Processed (8–9), Simple Ingredients (5–7), or Ultra-Processed (1–4). ALLERGENS, EVEN ON LABELS YOU CAN'T READ Every result summarizes the allergens declared on the label — translated to English — with cross-contact ("may contain") advisories kept separate from declared ingredients. The summary reflects what's declared on the label you captured; always check the package. BUILT ON NOVA Scoring is based on the NOVA classification developed by researchers at the University of São Paulo, extended with DirektLabel's 1–10 placement. The engine is deterministic: the same ingredient list always produces the same score. WHAT THE SCORE IS NOT This measures processing, not nutrition. A minimally processed food can still be high in sugar, salt, or fat. Vitamins, minerals, preservatives, and antioxidants never affect the score — they're shown for awareness only.
