It works fine
It worked well, but could definitely get started up faster. Most of the station have letters and numbers that mean nothing and confuse people. It would not tell me if the car has the port in it, but not charging which it should be able to. It works, but I wasn’t super impressed.

Stations won’t activate, credit card won’t be accepted. Nothing works and this company should cease operations immediately. Totally ineffective and incompetent. Avoid
The worst charging app and network
How bad is it? Well it functions like it was built by someone that is building their first app ever. Its setup steps is illogical. It doesn’t remember what you enter. And then, if you’re lucky it works and the car charges. But you’re going to need a lot of luck.
Try to use if you don’t need to charge your car
Frequent network issues will prevent you from actually being able to use their chargers. Not remotely trustworthy even to rely on.

Yes, it is cheap, from 16¢ to 35¢ a kWh is very cheap. But what’s the point if the app is often down with network connectivity issues.
Paying by tapping at their stations doesn’t work either due to the same issue. Network connectivity. I got this app in 2024 and the issues have NOT changed at all, it is the same ones.

Most of the time it works, sometimes it takes a little while to get going. Cheaper rates than most chargers.
A big gripe, the app never tells you if there are cars that are idling, it will just show them as available. Which is extremely annoying when I think there’s a free charger, only to get there and see that it’s taken. The app should easily recognize when the charger is still connected to the car but not charging.

I can’t believe this is the only way to use their chargers. How is this a real business?
Why do they even exist if the app doesn’t work and we can’t use the chargers that they manage? My town has 14 chargers around at the local parks that no one can use.
useless and zero support
NEEDED to charge my car, but app won't accept payment info from any of my cards, and i know for a fact that my cards are all in working order. i had to borrow from the account of another user in order to get my car charged. no support or response from the app.
Terrible, can’t get it to charge
Won’t go past “initiating charge” on the app. Don’t know which charger I’m on, neither is labeled. Can’t charge from the webpage either.

This charging network puts blink to SHAME! 0.20c a KWh is INSANE and I’m so happy I found dirt road. Sure the app could use some polish, I’d love to be able to see the progress of my charge from afar, but it works and is so inexpensive that who cares?
Scam
Support is not existent. I charged for a bit (est 7 usd) it’s been three days it still says charging and they put a hold on my card for 25. Im just gonna reverse the charge. I tried calling support and they ARE NEVER available no matter what time you call. Dkn disappointed that SDSU switched all chargers to these scammers

Names at the charging site do not align with names on the app so unable to charge.
What a scam
Charges slower than a wall outlet. So I Cancelled the subscription deleted the account. My card still got charged monthly. No way to get through customer services.
Unusable app and system
Don’t bother. Took 30 minutes and 5 tries. Waste of effort.
It worked
I drove way too much tonight and had to DCFC to make it home. I was annoyed I had to sign up for an app to use the charger, but it worked as intended and I was able to make it home. I don’t know if dirt road owned the charger as well, but if they do I’m grateful to them for having it placed in a nice well lit parking ramp.
The app definitely could use some polish, but if you need a charge it will see you through!

Location not working
When clicking location icon it does not work. I had to pinch and zoom in manually to find my charging location to initiate the charging session. Charging worked great once I was able to find the charging station in the app. App also does not list Toyota BZ4X as a model. Seems to only go up to model year 2022 for Toyota.

Charger Times out every hour
Nearly useless service. Had to constantly plug in the vehicle every hour on the hour. Even after signing up on the app correctly
