Wrong information

I live in Plymouth and apparently there is flooding in Plymouth due to a strong easterly wind But the wind is Westerly and there is no reports of flooding anywhere. don’t waste your money.

Stopped working

Stopped working 😳

Broken!

Your app is broken. I go to log in (WHY Is this needed?! To just see disasters around the world!?!) I click the Smart Control button to use the app and the screen freezes, goes white and does nothing else! Used to be a good tool but I guess you employed a tool to work on it and now it’s a redundant tool much like the tool you employed!

Didn't work

Until now I didn't got it work on my iPhone 16 pro max
The language selection didn't work. Creating an account didn't work.

Needs gps and time filter

This is a stunning wealth of information. It would be helpful to have the blue GPS marking your immediate location. It would also be extremely helpful to have the ability to filter notifications by time, for example, past 24 hours, past week, past month, and over one month ago.

Accurate information

This app provides the most accurate in depth info on natural catastrophes.

Used to be Very Good. No Longer.

Update: I didn’t think it could be possible, but this app has gotten even MORE USELESS than stated in my first review.

This app is based in Hawaii, where I live. It is currently advising that the Big Island is under a high wind advisory. Every other reporting service (at least 6), is reporting that we are under a tropical storm warning!

They’ve been reporting and updating their info continuously for days, while this app has remained totally silent about Hawaii, reporting instead only on Peru, Brazil, Saskatchewan, and the Southern US, among other places . . . BUT NOTHING FOR ITS HOME STATE OF HAWAII! Why are we paying tax dollars to support this stupidity and craziness?!?!

My advice is to download more timely and accurate apps (NOAA, weather, local news, Red Cross, etc.) if you need to keep abreast of and prepare for potential disasters. This one is totally useless. Too bad. It used to be one of the best, back in the day.
Now, they ought to be ashamed of themselves. 😢☹️😡

Go sit in the corner with a dunce hat. Stop collecting our hard earned tax money and get your funds from the countries you do report for. We need a break and an app that gives us useful, timely, and accurate information. This hasn’t been it for a very very long time.

This used to be my first choice app for keeping current with emergencies in our area. However, they have “improved” it to the point of making it useless. Our area has rather frequent flooding rain storms. This app used to give timely and accurate notifications as soon as they were posted by Civil Defense. Now, the app gives notifications, but instead of giving useful information, it will almost always state that the notice has expired - even just seconds after the notice was posted! IT IS UTTERLY USELESS! Now, after the most recent update, it won’t clear the notifications count. It will clear temporarily, but as soon as there is another notification, the count will return showing the number of ALL of the notifications since the update, not just the current number. I have found the Red Cross Emergency app to be much more accurate and informative.

Professional app

Thanks for hard working

What a terrible app

I downloaded the app some time ago and couldn’t remember my password so asked for a password reset. The link they sent didn’t work and after several attempts I can’t even get into the app so I have now removed it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone even bothering with this app as it is totally useless.

Really Good App

This app is really good and provides really detailed information about events.

Peace of mind

Living in a volatile part of the world, this app keeps my mind peaceful. Many thanks for your quick responses to disasters.

Very poor design

From the get-go this app has a poor mobile design. Did the sign up with a capital letter first in my username. All seems fine till you try to login. No matter what you do the username is lowercase forced! This flaw means you can not login. Fire the designer. I’m going to delete the app now

Pretty Decent

It was decently accurate with Hurricane Fiona, still have the app to this day.

DisasterAlert

Fantastic app keeps me well informed when I need it most
Thank you

Useless

They give constant notifications about things happening all over the world that arent even disasters. Idc about a flood in lebannon. I tried to edit the preferences and they made me create an account. No thanks i will just delete. Good idea terrible execution. Dissapointed. Just goofy honestly

Better than it used to be

Could use some graphics simplifying.

Remember, it’s a phone or tablet app; not a laptop or desktop version.

KISS principle

Handy app

Easy to use. Works very well.
For an old incident, if there’s an update, a
notification is received; but it’s not clear what’s been updated. Maybe there can be a flag of some sort, identifying the update.
Great app however. Happy to recommend.

Amazing app with so much data

I had to take this off my old phone when it ran out of memory, but I re-added it on my new phone immediately. It is fascinating, albeit a little alarming to see problems all around the world! It’s amazing to realize that our lifestyle here in the United States is responsible for so many earthquakes, floods, volcanoes and droughts all over the planet! To think that all hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires and health pandemics are the fault of fat lazy Americans driving Hummers makes me sad to be breathing air on this precious planet. Naturally NONE of these things ever happened before America came along. I’d kill myself it this app weren’t so darn interesting.
