No idea what’s going on?

Was asked to download this app as part of a market research survey, all fine, then meant to follow a link to place a product on a table in the app. The app opens my camera and the message appears ‘tap to place product’ but nothing else happens? Tried with lots of backgrounds, closed reopened, nothing happens. The demo with an inhaler doesn’t do anything either. If I’m doing something wrong (can’t see how) then some sort of help option would be useful, there’s nothing at all, only a camera screen and that one instruction.
