Feature request: more sensitive face detection!
I love how easy and quick this app is to use, but I found that it only works best when a face is super well defined and prominent in the image
If someone is in the background, or they’re turned away somewhat, Discretion tends to miss them. Same for difficult lighting conditions
I think an option for an even more sensitive face detection program would be nice even if it increases “false positives” and puts censors where no one is there. I’d rather have an overzealous program that catches everyone (and more!) than one that’s a bit conservative and doesn’t obscure everyone properly

Thank you for your review and your kind words. Discretion currently combines two different face detection algorithms, both of which are provided by Apple. Unfortunately, the sensitivity of these algorithms is currently not adjustable. However, if I find a way to improve or enhance this process, I’ll try to integrate it into Discretion. The Mask Editor (activated by tapping the “Edit” button) was included within Discretion to provide a manual override to overcome any limitations imposed by automatic masking. This is the best app of its kind, it’s solidly built and well thought out with lots of great features. Can thoroughly recommend.
Tidy & Private
I’ve been using this lovely little app for a while now it really does work well, thus far it hasn’t failed to cover a face with complete DISCRETION (No pun intended) but it simply does work so well 👏🏼 So nice to read in App Privacy, Data Not Collected.
