Not really user friendly or helpful

I thought there would be more... especially since it’s a paid app. It just asks you a bunch of questions.

If you click there, it will provide you coaching on how to approach and answer each question. That's why we developed the app -- so you can have that commentary on each question. Excellent App

If you are preparing for your dissertation defense, this is the app for you! I used it during the two weeks leading up to my defense. The questions were spot on and prepared me for many of the questions asked at my actual defense. Thank you Dr. Guy! I’m officially a doctor now!

Wonderful app

I love this app as it provides the guidance I was looking for in preparation for my dissertation defense. However, I would like to have the ability to move back to prior questions in addition to the forward (next) option.

Good tool

This is a good preparation tool for PhD students. However, many opportunities for improvements exist, for example, questions can be classified based into themes where users can easily click on a theme to practice the questions within it. Maybe a section with tick marks can also be added in which the user can tick the questions he/she mastered instead of having these repeated.

My 2 cents

Great organizational tool! After so many years of reading a myriad of peer-reviewed journals, books, and dissertations the research information is vast and deeply hidden in my mental labyrinth...LOL! How do I determine what information is crucial to the defense?! Preparing for the defense is like sitting down to take a test and going BLANK due to information overload. Well, with this mobile app I can quiz myself on the go or sit and create study cards with bulleted info formulated from the app questions. The app questions really pull out the heart of the research chapters positioning the doctoral candidate to provide the “meet n taters” of the research in the defense. Getting across the doctoral finish line is made easier with the Dissertation Defense Coach app!!!!!

Great Questions

Dr. Guy has created a useful tool for helping the doctoral candidate prepare for the defense. I am not ready to defend yet and find the questions within the app to be helpful as I think about writing the dissertation. I highly recommend this app for anyone who is on or hopes to be on a dissertation journey.

Problems are definitely fixed in the new version!

The old version certainly didn’t help, but now all the questions show and navigating the site is easy. Great app for quick on-the-go ways to always be thinking “Research”. Thank you for intuitively sensing what we need and dedicating your time to making sure we get it.

EXCELLENT RESOURCE!!!

I just completed my final course and entered the dissertation phase and was excited to learn about the Dissertation Defense Coach app, by Triumphant Heart International!

I am so excited to have access to this gold mine so early in my dissertation journey! Anyone in ANY stage of their dissertation can benefit from this app! It is super easy to use and is visually appealing. I love the thought of having these questions at my fingertips to practice at any time and I love that I can filter questions by topic and difficulty level.

Excellent App!

I’ve been using this app to prepare for my upcoming defense and I am very impressed! Dr. Guy has put together a comprehensive list of questions covering virtually all aspects of the dissertation and research process. The app also provides additional tips on what to consider if you aren’t quite sure how to answer the question. Be sure to also check out his website, book, and coaching for more information. Dissertation app

I am nearing my final defense for my dissertation. I passed my Oral defense but felt there were areas I should have known more about.
This app has help me already in the planning of my final defense. This app has helped me think over items that may come up during my defense that I’m sure I will know, but having the “heads up” will be a benefit in that extra study can help me prepare to a better degree.
Dr. Guy is very personable and knowledgeable about dissertation writing and preparation. He really is willing to help in any way he can.

Disappointing

Questions are cut off; the entire question is not visible. This is really disappointing after paying for the app.
