Game not listed in settings and not listed in iCloud backup

No way to backup game, so if change to new iPad / device, all data is lost… months of play time wasted. I waste my money on this piece of buggy trash.

It crashes and you put up with a lot of minor problems. Now I find out it doesn’t even allow to backup save data. I am planing on trading in iPad for a new one, and I find this game doesn’t backup. Even iCloud gave warning for this game that it was not included and data would not be backup. I looked for the game to add and there is no way to add it, it’s not listed anywhere in settings other than previous purchases.

Great game, crashes sometimes

Great port! I bought this one on Steam when it came out years ago. And it's not a "The Thing" video game wannabe, but more of an homage to "The Thing" film. It says so if you actually read about the game. I'm a big fan of isometric survival games, and I loved how this game utilized strategic thinking, and multi-tasking. This is a resource gathering game, but not a Last Day on Earth grind game. This is a story driven, isometric survival game with resource gathering elements. Games like Last Day on Earth are a dime a dozen....and let's face it, if you aren't completely bored with the over saturated and beaten to death zombie genre of film, television, and gaming, I sincerely question your taste on anything. If you want a unique gaming experience, with a price point that's a bargain, this is worth playing. The developers put a lot of heart into this one, and we should all support an array of different gaming experiences instead of creating an atmosphere for developers to put out copies of whatever is testing well or selling.

Good game but...

I played through the tutorial with excitement as the excellent game with an excellent premise unfolded before me, but as soon as the tutorial finished, the game crashed. I thought nothing of it, relaunched the game, clicked the new game button (ignoring the prompt to play the tutorial, for I already had), and selected my characters. The level slowly started loading before jumping to 100%, pausing for a moment and crashing. This went on for the next 5 attempts with me either trying to start a nw game or continue the game I’ve already started, to no avail. If the crash gets fixed, I would love to play it, until then, I just have to sit and wait.

Amazing game

Literally only writing this review for the Developers. For "James Abrams'" bio, you have it set at 3 stars for running speed instead of Cold Resistance, but on the character choosing screen you can see it correctly. Only when clicking on his bio. Hope you fix that. Little things like that really bother the heck out of me. Fix it.

CHANGING MY RATING FROM 4 TO 1

CANNOT PLAY FULL STORY OR CONTINUE MY ENDLESS WITHOUT BEING ONLINE

First I’d like to address all the “I thought it was going to be like this game” reviews. You killed the game for yourself before you even had a chance to play it. Never compare a game before you’ve played it for what it is.

This is a great handheld survival game that I know will grow into something greater than it is now. Main story is a little short but if you play it in challenge mode you’ll get the full experience that the developers tried to create on mobile devices. Definitely worth the 3$ price tag in my opinion. Give it a try. There are some areas that need adjusting but overall great. 4stars

Exactly what I wanted

I downloaded this hoping it would be a certain kind of game and I was not disappointed. Survival is a genre I love and this game does a great job. I can feel the cold as I play ❄️⛄️🌬

It is a bit buggy with crashes while loading on my iPad Mini 5. A relaunch fixes it and once you are in the game it is stable.

Love The Look And Feel!

Update:
Reminds me a little of the movie ‘The Thing’ atmosphere wise. DEVELOPERS; Thank You for NOT making this a ‘shooting/killing’ game! People that think to make things interesting, that you need to shoot/kill things need psychological therapy. We’ve desensitized our young to killing, blood and maiming things in TV and games (makes good ‘fodder’ for the military-industry complex’). There was a time when game developers were more responsible and ‘ethical’ in their games they developed. Now it’s all about money. Sad

The only sort of issue I have is that I constantly need to keep readjusting the game’s brightness when I change lighting conditions as you can completely miss things, which is a potential killer.

No crashes! No issues so far. Enjoying the game a lot presently!

——
It is kind of dumb that you can die doing the tutorial though, forcing you to start it over. I’ll update once I’ve dug into the game. Also, uses iOS gestures ‘except’ for zoom (and is only one step) which uses a PC mouse pointer +\- button on the upper top, left screen margin?? That decision makes no sense to me. Use the zoom iOS gestures feature.

Crashing constantly is the main review

I do genuinely enjoy this game, that is the very little I am able to play it for. It has non-stop crashed over and over. It crashes upon initial loading, and after sleeping, also in the first 5-10min of playing, and just overall randomly at anytime. That aside I really do like everything else about the game, the mechanics are good the graphics are good, and the survival aspect is one of my favorites. Looking at the app it says the last update was over two months ago and everyone has brought up the constant crashing and I didn’t see any responses from the devs, which for the effort to make the game seems like a bad business practice. Unless of course the game was strictly made to appeal just enough to get people to buy it and there’s no plan to fix it. If this game gets a good update I will gladly give it five stars because it deserves it but until that time it will have to stay where it’s at.

Great game

I got this game when it was pre-order, but it was a little too hard and something else wrong I couldn’t decipher. I’m going to give it another try. Even though there’s something wrong, it deserves a five star rate. I have one more thing to say. I tried this game again and it wouldn’t let me set the brightness. I’ll keep Distrust until I can succeed at playing this game

READ DEVELOPERS!!!

I love this game, but if I’m going to be honest it does get a little bit boring at times. I think what would make it much better is if you added guns. Not a lot, just a few handguns, a shotgun, and maybe a more rare machine gun. Also it would be awesome if you could find new characters while playing the game, like if you found a character in a new zone or whatever. Last thing is MAKE MORE ZONES! There aren’t enough zones and you NEED to make more for people who aren’t willing to pay because honestly it’s a bit of a let down when you get past the first zone and then you have to pay. That’s all and I hope to see some changes in the coming weeks!

The Thing Wannabe

At a first glance, this reminded me of the PS2 game, The Thing. While that game isn’t perfect, it’s much better than this. I really wanted to like this game, but why call it Distrust if there’s no trust or fear mechanism in the game. Yes, people can go mad, but other than the screen changing colors, I see no difference in behavior, even when someone is supposed to be gluttonous or aggressive.

It gets a little tedious having to tap each character one at a time. I wish you could move both people at once. Also, having to wait 20 seconds to refuel the furnace and another 10 seconds to eat, then another 20 seconds to collect some wood gets really tiresome. I might be able to forgive all this if it wasn’t for the constant crashing. There’s no patten to it, so I’m always wondering when I should save my game and I’m more concerned about that than the actual game. Maybe I’ll try again once this game-breaking bug has been fixed.

Epic game ~ Crashes CONSTANTLY

This is a four to five star game which I could play for hours on end. If it would stay open that long.

But it crashes all the time, and since there’s no auto save crashing means You loose everything.

As a fan of the cult classic movie “The Thing” I love the frozen outpost away from everywhere atmosphere. Unlike most modern monster genre games (and films) it isn’t a constant churn of gore splattering against the camera lens. The monsters are rarely seen but there presence is always felt.

But they’re really not the biggest problem. In a frozen Siberian outpost life is a constant struggle against nature. If you don’t collect fuel for heat and light the wilderness WILL kill you.

Now this new threat has thrown a wrench into the works terrifying alien monsters make gathering resources risky. You can’t defeat nature. But against these new beasts, maybe, just maybe, you have a chance.

At least that’s what it felt like for the first ten minutes or so. And then I had my first crash and lost 100% of my progress. Now I save as often as possible but having to do this through several clicks of a menu is tedious and constantly trying to decide if I need to save keeps me from allowing myself to become fully immersed in a unique and gripping plot line. I find my finger hovering over the game icon on my screen before deciding I’m just not ready for the inevitable disappointment and moving on to something much less compelling but stable.

Unlucky or unfair?

I dunno if everything is randomly generated and I’m just extremely unlucky, but after Zone 2 I was unable to find absolutely any gasoline or toolboxes so my whole team was wandering around unable to interact with anything while they froze/starved to death and I couldn’t figure out how to prevent any of it. It’s a shame because the gameplay is really fun, just comically unfair after a certain point it seems.

Really fun, but too quick to beat

EDIT: Game breaking bug: When I came back to play after saving and exiting earlier, i hit continue and now when i double tap the explorer icons the whole screen goes grey and i cant see anything but the game is still going. Please fix!!
It didn’t take me too long to get through this game. However, it does have replay value. I find it a bit steep price-wise for the amount of content, but if they continue to work and add on to this, it will be a really great game. Still very fun, even if you figure it out quick. Love it, please just add more levels in the future, like a chapter 2, with its own set of zones.

Holding Off For Stars...But..

Resend: Does anyone else have same disappointment with it not working after installing? I’d REALLY want to play this game after the waist. I was so excited about this game, still very much so. The premise is great, the previews and articles I’ve read look amazing. However, I’m still trying to play without it crashing on me just as I’m entering the new game mode. My phone is not out of date; I have plenty of room & all is as should be; yet, it continues to crash. I’m patient & will wait to see if there is an update addressing this issue. I REALLY want to become addicted to this game!

ONE ANNOYING BUG

After getting the reflector in zone three I needed one single more charge (breaking and fixing generators in zone three until I broke my toolbox) only to find I could not use the very same kinds of generator in zone 4 and beyond it doesn’t happen every time only seeming to happen when I have sane characters and tons of supplies to not worry in zone 4 and beyond (basically I only can’t charge my reactor when my game is going well) having achieved the other two endings and lost plenty of times this bug has prevented me from gaining this ending. Like I said it isn’t all the time, and I love this game but it’s really getting old having to restart or play to the same available endings over and over because I can’t advance due to this problematic bug. Best game on the phone but this bug has ruined it for me for the last time. It’s pointless..... truly..... fix the bug for the sake of the people that appreciate your game!

Great Game

I really loved this game. It’s really interesting and the story is really good. I was sad when it said I had to buy the rest of the game, but I did and it’s really good. I just hope the developers can fix where the game just kicks me out of it and I have to reload to my last save. I lost a lot of progress but I’ve learned to save frequently.

Disappointed

I was instantly disappointed, I thought this game would be just endless survival like minecraft or something. And after Zone 1, you send me back to the main menu. The game crashes all the time, very buggy, and overall very frustrating. I liked the concepts and the controls, but the overall experience was just disappointing. From the previews, it looked like it was going to be a endless survival game, however it was the complete opposite. It’s just like any other level-ed game. Why should I spend my money on this disappointing game? $2.99 isn’t that over priced, but still costs more that your average game.I know your trying to catfish is us much as possible, in your country, 2.99 USD is equivalent to roughly $19 dollars! If you ask me, that is just insane to pay for a game. And even if I do pay that $2.99 extra fee, what are you going to exchange for my $2.99? Like 6 more zones to play in? And then ask me for more money? I don’t mind paying to play a game, I know the developers have work on a game for months and years, and I appreciate that, but this game is just disappointing, I have been waiting for it for over 1 month. You can choose to ignore this comment if you like after all, it’s your game, your company’s wealth, not mine. Best luck to your game :).

Game is great but...

What’s with the interaction zones being so small? I am far from having sausage fingers and I’ve made countless mistakes while tapping in this game - walk when i meant to click on a character, unable to select a character unless I press EXACTLY on their portrait, etc.

EDIT: after finishing the game twice, I can say it’s really lackluster. Loses its appeal after possibly even one game for some. Can’t say I didn’t enjoy the first playthrough though.

Great Overall but one big thing that gets me frusterated

I love this game. I purchased the full game and am having a blast! One big thing for me that gets me really mad is the game crashing. I am just playing the game, I’m almost done with a zone and it crashes, losing all of my progress. This could be just my phone but it is still very frustrating.
