Lots of potential but not importing from Garmin

Scam, doesn’t do a single thing

It is just a menu with each option saying “coming soon” if you try to use it. 100% nonfunctional app pretending to actually exist.

Response from developer

Thank you for your valuable feedback! Unfortunately, due to Apple's restrictions, we are currently unable to utilize the depth sensor feature of the Apple Watch Ultra; this is presently exclusive to Oceanic+. We understand this may be inconvenient, but please rest assured that we are doing everything possible to provide a more comprehensive service. Your patience and support are crucial to us, and we hope to offer you a more satisfying experience in the future. Thank you once again for your feedback!

Importing from an old oceanic+ link

Say you generate the oceanic+ export email a week or two ago the app will throw an “exception”, it should just gracefully error out saying “non working url “ or something like that instead of throwing an exception.

Response from developer

Thank you for your valuable feedback on the Oceanic+ app. We acknowledge the issue you mentioned where links expire after a certain period, and we understand that the app should handle these errors more gracefully rather than throwing an exception. Please be assured that we are actively working to address this problem. We are committed to providing a smoother and more user-friendly experience, and your suggestions are crucial to us. Immediate actions are being taken to ensure clearer and friendlier error messages are displayed when a link becomes invalid. Thank you again for your support and understanding. If you have any more suggestions or encounter further issues, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to improving and serving you better.

The best dive log with oceanic+ import functionality

Exactly the app I was looking for, to import dives from oceanic+ (Apple Watch ultra ) is a breeze, I was also able to import all my dives from “Padi” official dive log iPhone app , this is now my main dive log, it’s 100% better then subsurface, to use subsurface , you need to go to the laptop, you cannot just do everything inside the iPhone app, this app is able to do everything itself, only a couple of suggestions for further improvements : 1- I tend to update the title of each of my dive in oceanic+ to something meaningful , you are just using “oceanic+” as the dive title 2- oceanic plus is saving the dive entry and exit point (not the exact name of the dive site) you should be able to import that entry and exit point also 3- when you import directly from oceanic+, the time the app is importing and displaying is incorrect, the dive I started at 10:30AM Aruba time , is being imported as having started at 6:36AM, if you import a dive using a UDDF log then the time shown is correct 6- you have no way to “export out” your dive, you can only import it, that’s not good, specially when your dive log is still in the teething phase, you should allow export this will further harden your data handling abilities 7- any time you export dive log out of oceanic+ , all dives are imported in, meaning everything now keeps getting duplicated, which becomes a huge problem very quickly, you should detect a duplicate record and skip it if it’s already imported 9- oceanic+ allows you to log scuba dives, snorkeling and free dives, so all of them get imported in to Diver app, but if I want to just see my scuba dives, there is no “filter” mechanism that allows me to only see dives that fall under a particular criteria

Response from developer

Thank you for your detailed feedback and suggestions! We are thrilled that our app has become your dive log of choice and appreciate your insights on how we can make it better. 1. Regarding the title, since Oceanic+ does not transmit title information during import, do you have any suggestions for a default title? 2. We will support entry and exit points and allow users to manually fill in the name of the dive location (which will also correspond to the position). 3. We will investigate this issue. When you dive in Time Zone A and return to Time Zone B, would you prefer to see the time from Time Zone A at the moment of the dive, or the current time in your present time zone? 6. We will schedule the development of this feature. Thank you for your suggestion! 7. This is a bug, and we will fix this issue immediately. Thank you! 9. Adding a filter mechanism will be scheduled in our development plan. Thank you for your suggestion. It seems that points 4, 5, and 8 were missed. We greatly appreciate your feedback, which is incredibly helpful to us. If you would like a more immediate response, you can contact us via the Feedback function within the App!

This app shows promise

If Su PenLi can include dive table and decompression calculations, this app might put Oceanic+ out of business, as long as he doesn’t make it “Rentalware”.
I gave two stars because it still has a ways to go to be fully functional.
