Incredible service. Save money!
These guys are incredible. I spent $6 to get a dishwasher fixed. $12 to get a stackable dryer fixed. They are super knowledgeable and way generous with their time. If you are even remotely handy, download the app and ask them for help.
Won’t Allow Me to Sign Up
I downloaded this app today and attempted to sign up. Very buggy. When attempting to create an account it claims that I already have an account, check my email. But I get no emails. When I’m on WiFi and I try and process a forgot password request, it tells me I’m not connected to the internet. When I turn off WiFi and try the same process, the app gets stuck and crashes. I’ve never used this service before and I don’t have an account.

Peace of Mind
A buddy of mine referred me to this app. In my opinion, it is the online urgent care physician visit of the appliance world. I was smelling hot glue smells coming from my range. I will tackle almost any do it yourself project. I don’t care if things flood. I don’t care if things get really dirty or go un-fixed for a few days. However, I really care if I am messing with possible fire. Burning glue gun smell was enough to make me go fetal position. :-) I set up my appointment and he had me do a few preliminary checks. He had me check the element to see if there was anything burned on and also take a look at the circuitboard. He couldn’t see anything from his vantage point, but he assured me there was no risk of fire and that whatever smell it was with dissipate in a few days. After that reassuring advice, well worth the cost of admission, I took a closer look. There it was! A big grease spot that I couldn’t see. I cranked up the oven for about 20 minutes and it burnt right off! I was cautious in his advice that nothing would burn down, and I needed to “trust but verify.” I’m so glad to have used them. I saved $50. I should’ve looked closer.

What a great app. I had an issue with my dryer so I called DIY Appliance. After talking to Vince he said “check out our app and FaceTime me so I can see what you’re looking at.” It was so cool, I could show him exactly what I was looking at and he immediately new what was wrong. He even had the part I needed in stock. This is more then an app, it’s a great tool.

Best app ever
I woke up this morning to a 2 year old fridge that wasn’t cooling and all my food was quickly going bad. I called 5 local repairman and the soonest I could get one was 2 days. Ya right, 2 days no fridge with 3 kids. Sorry not going to work. A friend recommended FTF-DIY so i downloaded the app and connected with a service tech. Now... I am the least handy guy ever. I’ve never changed a car battery. But the tech assured me I could do the job, so I gave it a shot. My fridge had 2 problems, a non working circuit board and a bad inverter. The tech diagnosed my problems, gave me the part numbers of the parts I needed, where to buy them (because I was not local to the tech) and how much I should pay for them. I ran got the parts, FaceTimed the tech back and he walked me though exactly how to replace both parts, set by set... and BOOM it worked. Parts cost me $280... a repairman would have charged $700+ and I would have lost all my food waiting 2 days for them to show up. This app is the best. If I can DIY a repair and save money then anyone can. I moved this app to my home screen for future use.
