Fallen from greatness
This use to be the best platform in the entire world, you could meet & chat with people, share art & videos, but then late 2024 came… it shut down… financial restraints, the cash just wasn’t flowing, the bank had run dry, & so it had to shut down… but then… a glimmer of hope, astrosafe came, bought the platform, could this be it? Its finally back!? …oh how naive of an assumption, it was back, …but it wasn’t the same… AI. Let me tell you how much I’ve come to hate it, it cannot be used for creativity, it can not create, only mimic those it’s harvested, harvested without consent may i add? Don’t even get me started on how HORRENDOUSLY terrible it is for the environment, it uses a comically large amount of water, you might think “oh what about the water cycle!” But that water is not falling back down in the same place, oh and ai also causes ram prices to become ridiculously high which causes tech prices to become ridiculously high… Diy stands for “do it yourself”, the platform IS LITERALLY GOING AGAINST ITS VERY NAME. It is nothing more than a wasteland of AI SLOP now.

It’s not good anymore.
Im sorry in advance for those who want to download this in the current days. About a year or 2 ago, this was the best kids sharing sight, heck, my whole childhood was on this app, I loved it and it sparked so so so many of my interests. It got shut down in late 2024 and then a company bought it again, I thought it would stay the same, after all, this app was my childhood, but then, when I check it, AI has taken over, I’m not seeing people sharing drawings anymore, I’m seeing people sharing AI games and AI art and AI coding! And now there are so many new subscriptions, you can barely do anything! I miss the old DIY so much, and I wish it never changed. Thanks for reading.

this app used to be about childish creativity , fun , friends , and well , DIY ( do it yourself ) and now its an ai generated coding app. parents / curious explorers , please do not buy this app for you or you kids. it does not express creativity at all.
What happened?
Oh god for free users only it’s just AI, it’s all AI slop. Oh god I used this app so much when I was younger, it feels like my own child got murdered in front of me even though I’m a childless minor. When I was younger it was children free solcial media buts it’s all AI slop now, oh dear god.
not the diy i know
delete this app genuinely theres no point of it being accessible anymore. its complete slop and doesnt allow the same abilities that the original version of the app had. this is beyond disappointing as someone who literally grew up on the app. just delete it at this point, its not like you guys even update or try to fix issues with it anyways. You ruined possibly the best social interaction network for children to interact and learn about the hobbies that interest.
