No audio for Spanish on iPhone 8
The app downloaded and installed ok, but the audio files download failed. I tried 3 times, installing the app, removing and then reinstalling. No go. It always says “wait for the audio to download …“ and nothing. No problem on my husband phone- Samsung a52-5G with android 14.
Problem
I have the same problem as a lot of people , after scanning the book by barcode, it is not showing in the library , I don’t know why … please, fix that !!! ))
At least this one works
Bought complete language pack but this is the only app that actually works. The 15 minute app just says connect to internet despite being connected to the internet. Also no bar code on the book so have to use the barcode on the main box so why doesn’t it recognise whole product and download all audio files?

Books Never Stay Downloaded in Library
I read a review from 4 years ago and it appears there is still the same issue. Whenever you download a book, it takes a few minutes to download. After it is complete, the book is not in the library. After exiting the app, you can still access the book you were last in, but if you download another one of your books in another language, the previous one will have to be redownloaded. It would be an easy fix. I’ve always thought highly of DK, so it’s a bit surprising they won’t update their apps like they do their books.

Fine, but could do with a ‘test yourself’ facility
Works fine. You open the app, scan the barcode on the back of your physical book, and the app downloads all the phrases from the book in the same order and format. It’s quick, readable, and the audio quality is good. One missed opportunity, that would be easy for the Developers to add, would be a way to test one’s knowledge of the vocabulary, for example by blanking out random words. Maybe in the next version, please?

Non of the audios will down load. Yes I realise there are some pages that don’t have audio but non of them will down load

Just downloaded and works as advertised
I downloaded the app onto my iPhone 12 Pro. The moment it opened, it asked for access to the camera. Once I accepted, I took a picture of the barcode of a phrase book and within a minute, I was scrolling through 150 pages of phrases. The audio works just fine.
Hope it continues to work as it is now!

Absolutely rubbish app. Won’t scan or accept barcode even though I have a new edition of this book. Fantastic book but so disappointed with the app as it’s one of the reasons I brought the book. Tweeted,fb messaged, phoned and emailed DK about this but they never reply or read my messages. Shame as this app has enormous potential for language learners.

The barcode doesn’t work
I bought the visual German English book where it says revised and updated with free audio app (this app) on front but it won’t scan or recognize the ISBN barcode when I type it in. Also didn’t realize my book was damaged when I bought it (that’s on the bookstore and whoever damaged it) but definitely not happy with the purchase on all points because of that.

Easy app
I know some users had trouble with the app but I just downloaded it, scanned the barcode without any problems & was able to use it straight away. Great to have the audio feature.
Crashes before opening
This could be really good, but it doesn’t even work anymore. Why hasn’t it been updated in so long?!
DK travel phrasebook
Worked just fine when I bought the specially designated books and went through the process to load the audio. Didn’t have any difficulty and found the audio to be quite useful. However just tried to get on the app today after a hiatus, and the phrasebook app simply flashes open, then immediately shuts down.
I have an iPhone 6 using IOS 12.3.1. Assuming the DK application software hasn’t been updated. Would appreciate developer feedback and upgrade. Thank you!

App has no audio
I should have checked the ratings on the App Store before buying this book. Tried entering ISBN manually and scanning it. Status shows Download Complete for Spanish but nothing shows in the Library. Running iOS 12.2 on iPhone 7.
Did not load books properly
I added the Chinese phrase book and it worked but did not show up in the library.
I then tried to add Japanese both by barcode and by typing in the ISBN and neither worked after many efforts.
I’m disappointed. The app needs to be fixed.

Pathetic
This DK app has JUST been updated and it still DOESN’T WORK. Crashes immediately. Great books but abysmal app. Please hurry up and FIX IT. 👎
Books not appearing in library
The app is reading the bar code and downloading the audio but not creating a library containing my books! ☹️
