No headings!

I’ve been using the app to read and mark my spot for several months now and have really been missing out on a lot of the context. The section headings in the Doctrine & Covenants is rich with context and names and dates, etc. I’m going to have to go back to using Gospel Library. It really doesn’t make sense that this app omits the section headings.

Ready for the days ahead

Thought provoking and a strong sense of urgency to get and make things right. Leaves you with an inner peace and hope that strengthens your confidence and your ability to do what the Lord wants us to do. Draws us closer to the Lord and to our fellow saints who are on the same path. Each review will give you something new and different according to your faith in the Lord and your faith in his promises. I find extra inspiration and encouragement when I need answers to questions about keeping covenants or service to others in need.

Very helpful!

I really wish the chapter headings were included but otherwise, this tool has really helped me be consistent!

Great

Always great

No

Doctrine and Covenants Reader app is wrong-headed. Scripture reading goals are nuts. You guys, maybe just read one chapter a day — and linger with it, let it drip over your heart. Reading schedules are for school texts.

No

This is wrong-headed. Scripture reading goals encourage reading the Word with a skewed mindset. Why not read one chapter a day — and linger with it, let it drip over your heart like molasses. Reading goals are for reading texts for college courses.

Perplexed

It's okay but since the website I've attempted to retrieve my records from I’m not that much impressed.

Especially since it's always been told to me nothing online ever gets lost: It's somewhere in the internet.

It’s good to learn and read

This app is very helpful for those who study the scriptures

App is just ok

I found the information essential, However, the description found in the physical existence, isn’t included, for example the date, or where the revelation was received by the priesthood restored by Joseph Smith, JR. This lack of information is key, to understand the progression of spiritual strength the Saints received to face their trials. Paula G. Olivari

A bit dry

Compared to the Book of Mormon. Still, it is worth studying.

Creepy

This war lord wrote this to get total obedience. It will hijack your brain. Hope everyone makes it out of the cult.

D&C app

I would love it if you had the speaking part as well as the reading part on the doctrine and covenants, so I could listen to it while I’m outside.

It keeps me reading on a schedule.

I need to have this app. I used it for the Book of Mormon. I enjoy the schedule and the connection to Gospel Library.

D & C

Joseph Smith revelation as recorded and published to the reader, direct. A must read. This is all I wrote, then. Now, I still think of D & C as sacred and historical, primary documents, and vital to any understanding of Scripture.

Notice to read

Somehow my missionaries tuned on my D n C notice daily to read I can’t figure out how to make it stop. I really don’t want notices popping up on my phone.

D&C. Tracking

I enjoy getting the reminders as it helps me stay on track.

Needs audio, and Lectures On Faith

Wonderful app! It just needs an option to play audio of D&C, I also think it would be great to include the lectures on faith at the beginning as a prelude to D&C.
If you have not read the lectures on faith, I highly recommend it. It was initially the “doctrines” part of doctrine and covenants. It is essentially a learning curriculum from the school of the prophets which Joseph made to teach future apostles and prophets. The information contained is of high value and cannot be replaced by any other scripture

4 stars because

I like the app but I miss the section description headings, I like the reminders to read as well, put the section heads in and it would be a 5 star app 😀

Doctrine and covenants

I love reading the scriptures along with the D&C ,it’s like as though Jesus Christ is speaking to me directly his own words in power , love and purpose. It’s Wonderful.
