Inaccurate beyond belief

My handwriting is rather neat, I just wanted to be able to easily take documents that I wrote years ago & quickly put them into word documents for my computer. 90% of the words vanished in their “conversion” & what did appear was in the wrong format & horribly misspelled. Not even 1 word in the entire document was actually done correctly!!! Go elsewhere!!!

Thanks for the honest feedback. The handwriting engine you tested was replaced in 2025 with a new recognition system — accuracy on neat handwriting is now a different story, and printed text works in 120+ languages. If you still have those documents, we'd like you to try again on us: open the app, tap Support, and the live chat team will set you up.

very useful app

a very useful app, my handwriting is terrible but it still picks up most of it. I definitely recommend installing. side note I had some issues getting the free exports and I contacted customer service they responded within hours and fixed the problem. I am definitely going to purchase the premium soon it's well worth it.

Вылезает в рекламе, в самой первой ссылке по поиску приложений по распознаванию рукописного текста. Но ничего не работает. Каждые 5 секунд вылезают подряд две рекламы. Но даже после них ничего не происходит. Хорошая идея, отвратительное исполнение. Если вы хотите, что приложение покупали, то покажите хотя бы что оно может.

Очень жаль

Идея очень классная. Я ищу приложение которая позволит сканировать рукописный текст и конвертировать его в печатный. Но это приложение не дает даже загрузить фотографию, постоянно предлагает купить платную подписку, хотя должны действовать первые три пробных дня, но кнопка чтобы активировать их не работает. Приложение постоянно показывает рекламу и пытается вывести на спам розыгрыши. Никаких заявленных функций не увидела...

3 Day Free Trial

The OCR was somewhat accurate. Not the best but not the worst. However, I had a 3 day free trial and on the 2nd day they charged me for the yearly subscription before my trial was even up. Kinda shady.

That shouldn't happen — trials are handled by Apple and the charge only goes through when the trial ends. If you were billed early, Apple refunds these at reportaproblem.apple.com, and our live chat in the app can walk you through it. Today the trial is 7 days, the dates are shown before you confirm, and scanning itself is free without any trial.

Use it or loose it

I purchased 100 scans but had to change phone. There is no way to re-install and keep your unused scans.

Too Slow

The app wouldn't finish processing my photo of a page of A4 handwritten notes. After over 2 minutes I gave up.

Just charge up front

It's ok. We all need money.

No one should download this because these guys are deceitful. It doesn't scan anything. It simply asks you to pay then gives you a blank screen if you don't.

Fair criticism of the 2019 version. Since then scanning has been made completely free — camera, auto-crop, folders and search, no paywall, no trial. Paid features are the ones on top: conversion to Word and Excel, translation, PDF editing. If you're still on iOS, it's worth a second look — and there's live chat in the app if anything doesn't work as expected.

Gives me chance to hand write notes and digitise quickly into Keep

Poor recognition, no try-before-buy option

I downloaded and tested a bunch of handwriting recognition apps. This one was the worst of the bunch. I wasn't able to test its accuracy without the $10 in-app purchase, so I took a chance on it. Very disappointing. Oh well someone's gotta be the guinea pig. Pretty much any other handwriting OCR app you pick will be better than this one.

Both points were valid in 2018 and both are fixed. Handwriting recognition runs on a new engine since 2025, and there's now a 7-day free trial on the annual plan, so you can test accuracy on your own documents before paying anything.
