Share button?

Why would you put the share button on there? I do not want this feature. How does that help someone being cyberstalked? Just enables the abuser to steal my documentation and play victim. Is there a way to disable this? I want this off.

All evidence deleted when I uploaded 1 screenshot

Major glitch? I uploaded 1 file (since only 1 file can be uploaded at a time), there was a ‘glitch’ that erased ALL of my previous documented evidence. One minute I had all of my files and journals in this app saved and when I tried to upload a screenshot with more evidence, everything was deleted instead, I didn’t even exit out of the app and it happened with it still in use. Every. Single. File. Gone. Disappeared. This happened through the iOS app a few months ago when I was uploading a file(screenshot). I gave up because I spent months slowly documenting evidence. But now I’m back to try again, not sure what other app to use (is there a place to save voicemails?) I hope this doesn’t happen again. I’m pretty sure I need a place to safely store evidence for a good amount of time without worrying it will all disappear when I upload a doc. Any insight and look into this issue is appreciated. Thanks!

Make an emergency “ imitation” code.

Hi! I think it would be a good idea to add an emergency erase feature to the app. One that a user could program something like a knock-off code or a series of gestures or something!!! So when they do that or type in the other fake code they have set, it logs in like normal but shows that no data has been inputted. Incase a spouse finds the app, and tries to ask or bully a victim into giving them the pin. Which I promise will happen a lot more often than you’d think. But set an emergency erase pin or something that users can give the to their spouse Incase they’re being threatened, and when it logs in it’s shows only limited information ( maybe even only information the user selects) or shows that it’s empty. Just because abusive people who may discover this in someone’s phone and think that their being set up for jail which is a very big deal for some and could lead to some violent crimes happening if they’re unaware of all of this information being collected. I don’t think anyone should have to go thru this but I know it may happen even I may go through it and I don’t want the person to discover this app, because they might make me delete it before I am better.

Very wonderful idea

In the future I hope the ability to upload other files is included besides photos. Like Voicemails, etc. if that was something I could do I would give this 10 stars.

Not worth it… just use Evernote

The app says you can upload images and videos but there’s no support or upload button for that. I followed the instructions on how to do it, but there is no button to upload or add items.
I don’t see an option to upload and save to the cloud. The app doesn’t have a backup feature.

Where are the photos I uploaded?

This is great for documentation and keeping it safe but all the photos I’ve uploaded it won’t let me access them and look at them. It’s like they are missing. How do I access them?

I need to find a back up.

It crashes so often. It’s great when it works but when it crashes, I panic. Did I lose all my entries? I can’t document anything when I have the time to document bc it keeps crashing. Tried all the usual troubleshooting methods like turning my phone on and off. Holding down the app and then the home key. Deleting then reinstalling. But it feels unreliable when it fails me so often. I need to find a back up

Response from developer

Hi. We’re so sorry you’re having difficulty and are investigating. Can you please contact us at safety@nnedv.org so we can help identify and then fix whatever is needed?

Docusafe is Much Needed!!

I'm really glad to see smart tech being used to help keep people safe. Thank you.

Not secure

Downloaded and deleted immediately. I work at google and the fact they accept Apple and google login is very suspect. I know for a fact this app isn’t as secure as it claims. Such a disservice to survivors, of which I am one of many.

Response from developer

Hi metoo_advocate247. Sorry we did not explain more about our Apple (and Google) login. We are using these features in order to protect and backup data as an intentional security provision. In order for long term sustainability, your data is encrypted and stored within your own Apple iCloud (or Google Drive account). This means we do not need the requirement of a standalone server to backup your data long-term. Your data is yours only. Note that we are using zero-knowledge encryption so even while it is on your cloud account, no one can access this without first knowing your Apple email and password, but also using a key that is a unique combination of user credentials and custom PIN number of your choosing. It can only be decrypted in the future using the custom algorithm contained within the app that recreates the unique key each time the app is unlocked. Security and privacy is our absolute top concern, and would be happy to share the technical specification and explain further the details of our implementation. Please email safetynet@nnedv.org and we will connect you with our tech people.
