Photo upload Error

This app is a great idea and seems to work for some people. However, when I tried to upload a photo of my local dog bin it came up with an error saying with the title ‘Unknown Error’ - Something went wrong, but we’re not quite sure what. Please try checking you’ve got internet connection and try again.” I double checked I had connection and had 2 bars of 4G connection. I then tried to upload the image multiple times but the error kept on coming up. I think took a photo on my phone hoping to be able to upload later on when I was home, but the. Found out I was unable to do this. It might be worth adding an online mode for users if they are in rural locations with limited internet connection. It would also be useful to be able to upload images onto the app.

No Approval

Waited 2 days and have heard nothing about if the locations I did were approved or not.
Nice idea but I’m skeptical if there is anyone actually approving the locations anymore as the last update was 3 years ago.

Wish the community were helpful

Being a developer myself and a dog parent, I understand the motivation behind the app. Reading the other reviews on the app, I’m frankly shocked. This is meant to be a community driven app and the more people are willing to put in, the better it is for everyone in the long run. So I think people who don’t understand that should just uninstall the app instead of defaming it with pointless reviews.

This app works perfectly. Sure you only can post the bin from the location. How hard is that ? I’ve added three within my neighbourhood to date and they were all reviewed and added to the map within a week.

I want to say to the developer .. Thank you for taking this on. Don’t let the critics get to you. You are making a difference to many pooches !

1 star for been a good idea.

The main issue with this app is the is too much faff so many don’t bother. You can only upload a photo when stood in front of the bin. For obvious reasons not one wants to stand clearly taking a picture of a dog poo bin.

Secondly your photos then has to be approved I see no reason why. When if I the street sign in the photos and GPS tracked me to the location.

I thought it would be a useful app to see the bing on my estate. But as it happens I’ve found all of them by walking around myself. And yes the are only 2 on an estate of 200 dogs if not more not inc the ones who walk their dogs on it but don’t live on it.

I was hoping for a better app as I read it’s been out since 2014. I had hoped it would have take off by now with easier systems for photos upload from the camera roll. And not need approving by admin. All that needs to happen is you submit you image. Then if a bin is took out or moved you can report it on the app. Apparently non of the 2 bins show up even in other areas non show up.

Sadly a waste of time effort and space on my phone. So as Deborah Meaden says for that reason I’m out.

Will be so useful

I love this app and have tried to get more interest in my area around it. Once it gets more members and dog bins on it, it will be so useful (it is useful already). It’s so easy to use and really good visually as well.
