Top reviews

Completely useless

Couldn’t identify the first dog I gave it… a purebred Pomeranian… if it can’t identify a purebred, how would it ever identify a mixed breed? I wonder why the reviews are not available for reading?

Horrible tool

My American Bull Terrier was identified as: Whippet, Boston Terrier, and even Chihuahua!

WRONG!!!!!!

My dog is a Irish wolfadoodle and it said she was some dog with a weird name

Waste of Time

I done two scans, one said my dog was a Staffi the other scan said it was a Boxer, they couldn’t be more different. My dog is actually an American Black Face Cur.
Needless to say don’t bother with this App.

Response from developer

Hi Princebruno, we’re really sorry for the confusion and mismatched breed results 😞. Our AI is still learning to distinguish between similar dog breeds, especially rare or mixed types like the American Black Mouth Cur. Your feedback is helping us improve accuracy across devices. Please try the latest version—we’d love to earn your trust back 🐶💚

Explain that

Odd how the same picture elicits a different breed identification not just from one day to the next but even during the same day depending on whether I use my iPhone or iPad.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback! 🤔 The difference in results between devices or sessions is due to ongoing model updates and how each device processes the image. We're working to improve consistency across platforms. Your observation is very helpful—thank you for being part of the improvement process 🐕📲

No no no

I know why it’s free. I took a photo of a dog that was clearly a pitbull, and it said it was a golden retriever

Pretty Good

The app is probably pretty, pretty, pretty good from looking at it. I may try it again

Totally Inaccurate

Used this on two easily identifiable dogs, a Siberian Husky and an Australian Cattle Dog and it produced results that were unbelievably wrong.

Nearly 100% Inaccurate

This app is so far off from reality it suggests that it is a scam. If it was a pay-to-play app it would be a verified scam.
But since it is free and voluntary, it saves itself from that classification.
My dog is a Black and Tan Coonhound with Bluetick and Redbone Coonhound ancestry. These are known factors. This app identified everything from Great Pyrenees to Mini Pincher and Rottweiler as dominant bloodlines. These are so far off it it’s laughable. Every time I scan her it comes up as a different mix of completely impossible breed mixes. Don’t use this app for anything other than entertainment and impossible scenarios. Only one time out of 6 tries did it identify her correctly a BTCH and Bluetick CH followed by a 7th scan that said she was a Rottweiler/Doberman . What?
