Horrible UX

Horrible UX - collar loosing connection all the time, bad ui for stim level change, buggy initial pairings process. The app comes across as amateurishly designed and built.

Works great

I’ve had a Chameleon IV and a CTT4 for about six months now. I’m super happy overall. The app has let me fine tune stim levels much better than my EZ Pro ever did. The app takes a bit getting used to as it’s not super user friendly, but once you understand it, the amount of fine-tuning it allows for is incredible. Overall, very happy with the Chameleon, CTT4, finger kick, and Doggify app.

Best ecollar in the world

Most people here have complained about the app. However, this is still the best ecollar on the market. Yes, the app needs some improvements, but I understand how more development went into the ecollar technology itself rather than the App Store app.

Connectivity issues

The collar is an expensive paper weight when you’re not able to connect to the app

Poor connections

Like others have stated the collars are expensive. The big thing for me is being able to use the app and I’d say for the time that I’ve had this collar I prefer my other less expensive one. Because I know I can trust the technology. It doesn’t come with an app, but at least I know it works when I use it. Maybe some money needs to be spent hiring an engineer or something to work on this issue. But what do I know I’m just a girl with a dog asking a collar and an app do something… 🤷🏻‍♀️

Horrible

I have 2 Chameleon IIIB’s and they constantly are disconnected (within minutes of syncing) and then the app cannot find them again. Complete waste of time trying to use the app. I spend more time trying to get the app to see the collars than it’s worth. Bummer because what appealed to me (despite the price point) was the added functionality of the collars (temp, contact…etc). I could’ve just gotten extenders and used the educator receivers I had!

Too many issues for $$$

Constant connectivity issues. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, etc. Nothing seems to remedy. For the price, it’s certainly disappointing. On the rare occasion it stays connected for our entire session, it works great. Only problem, it never satays connected.

Top notch

Great app. Team is making improvements continuously to ensure that product works with all iPhones. Features are amazing as well as connectivity.

Used to work

I can’t sync my collar to the app anymore, which makes a lot of the functions of the collar inaccessible. Please fix!

App doesn’t work

Useless App, says disconnected most of the time, and when connected there are no instructions as to what a grey triangle on skin contact means. Asked the salesman who sold the collar, he said the app is useless…great recommendation.

Won’t connect to IPhone 15

Please update your app it does not work on the new phone. Connects fine to an older iPhone….

Not a great app

Sadly after the cost of buying the collar I expected an app that would actually work. Hardly ever connects. Constantly says disconnected and never works when out and about. I’d say that the app is actually useless.
Absolutely useless app. Why bother. Obviously does not work.
Sent collar back once as broke also. Avoid Martin system at all cost.

App needs updating

App used to work, but with iOS updates, the app no longer seems to function at all. Tried deleting collars and re-adding them, the app sees them and they are reconnected with Bluetooth, but the app does not connect with them after the pairing step.

Too many glitches

Simply. Doesnt connect to collar or transmitter reliably. App needs to be updated.

This app needs more work

This app constantly crashing/disconnecting from the collar. I rarely get more than three days of “problem free” use out of it.

Complete fail with iPhone 13

Yes, I have the latest IOS update, and several people other than me have tried to install and connect the collar to my Doggify app. I bought this extremely expensive chameleon mostly because of the app and all the things you can do with your phone but this app doesn’t work. I just get a frozen screen. I keep hoping it will work with the next iOS update for iPhone but it doesn’t work. Worthless App.

Doesnt connect

Constantly says disconnected so is absolutely useless. Tried deleting and re installing, tried disconnecting snd deleting the collar. Nothing works.

Disconnecting

My collar disconnects from the app and isn’t able reconnect.

It typically disconnect when the collar is out of range (over 25meters) but once the collar is within the range, it doesn’t reconnect. Please advise.

They thought of everything

This app is genius. The Martin Systems Collars are worth every penny!

Good start!

Carries very useful features, some maybe of dubious value.
The ability to fully customise the stimulation for each level is great. Kicking the stim and being able to reinstate it all from the app is a huge improvement over the Emily USB. It’s also a bit of an issue. Having to pay a lot extra for this USB is, if you have an older collar, is a questionable choice by the manufacturer at this point. Especially at the price point when all the features are available at no extra cost with the C3b collar.
The temperature display is a fairly redundant feature as far as I can tell. It’s not a direct reading off the dog, more the temperature of the collar. So radiated heat from the animal + ambient air = collar temperature?

Being new technology (in this application) there are a few bugs, as is to be expected, but nothing game breaking. The battery level for example rarely shows anything accurate, even when fully charged. Often fluctuates as much as 10% over a minutes observation. It’s good enough to get a rough estimate of charge out in the field.
Connection to the app is skittish at times, even standing with the phone within 1 metre of the collar. If your dog is in a vehicle and you’re a few metres away it’s rare to get a connection at all.

Overall what seems like a gimmick soon becomes everyday use. More detailed instructions on how to use the app that is more readily accessible would be a huge improvement.
A good companion to the product.
