Mae’s tracking more fun and precise. Been using it for several weeks and don’t know how I ever did it without this app.

Almost perfect
This app is fantastic for tracking. One issue I have though is that android users can send their tracks via WhatsApp apple users need to send them through email which is a pain! I hope apple users will be able to send via WhatsApp soon. I’ll update my review to 5 stars when it does.

GPS is terrible
I don’t know what has happened to the GPS tracking of the app, but lately it’s been absolutely atrocious. It takes forever to locate a signal, quickly loses the signal- including in the middle of a track - and the tracks I try to record with the app are completely useless.

Useful app
I’ve been using the DogTrack free version for a few months now and it’s great. I can send a track to myself via email so I can use the same track for both dogs. Simple to use and suits my requirements at the moment.

Glitchy
The newest updates and interface is mediocre. This used to be a decent app to use.
Problems: the app will shut down while using a laid track even with accuracy in green. The app will not mark an article found unless either the dog or myself are standing exactly where it’s marked. There’s been plenty of times I’ve had to recount my articles after looking at the app, only to have a correct article count that was properly found.
Lastly, when using around buildings, especially campuses, the app again even with green accuracy, it sometimes shows my path through a building. I understand there are limitations with satellite/gps accuracy. Maybe you should collaborate with those at What3words to have better accuracy.

Great app- could be better with Apple Watch
Easy to use and useful for after aging. My only issue is it’s hard to handle a phone while tracking the dog and also laying the track. Would be super useful to have it Apple Watch compatible
Worth every penny
We train dogs every day and only use this app. Is without a doubt worth the money. Very easy to work once you figure it out. Never had any issues from it. Highly recommend getting it.
I like it!
It’s a little hard to get used to laying a track AND dealing with the phone and noting drops while dealing with flags and articles, but I think it will be awesome once I do. I’d love to know how people have attached their phones to the dogs’ harnesses, especially a 16-pound dog.
Dog track app doesn’t work
Have loaded app 3 times on my Apple phone when track later unable to revisit the track it’s like it’s stuck trying to search for the track . I have been unable to add my dog to the track so I can’t see how close we are the the track or if we are totally lost. What can we do to fix this problem

Wonderful App
This app makes tracking training so much easier. I logs the time aged, let’s you place flags, even share tracks with training buddies!! Paid version is absolutely worth it.
Crashes
I like the idea of this and works well when my partner walks me a track and then can send blind.
However it crash’s a lot and logs me out all the time so never is ready available when I go to start a track this makes it not worth the price.

App not working
How is it I am presented with a Tutorial every time I open the app, and now I cannot save my tracks on my Apple phone. Is it true we have to pay a subscription now?

At the end of the tutorial there is a choice you can make "Close" or "Close and never show this again". If you scroll down in the list of "Laid tracks" you will find your new tracks". All functions found in the old version is also available in the new version without a subscription. With a subscription you will get access to new online functions that did not exist in the old version. Please contact us at support@dogtracks.se if you need more help.
If only it worked!
I’ve never made it past the opening screen. I have a friend who uses this app and can at least get it to lay the track, but then has an error somewhere in the middle. I’d just as soon get my money back! I DO NOT recommend this app.

After you have laid a track, send it to yourself as an email. You can then import the track as many times as you like and use it with several dogs.
Lovely tracking app minor drawback
This is a great app,allows you to have profiles of your dogs, lay a track, flag corners or articles and then let the track “cook”, you can then hit record again and once complete assign it to a dog profile as completed so you can gauge accuracy.
For set permanently marked out tracks that you have completed you can send them to a friend via email for them to open in the app too!
The one drawback is with permanent tracks established, ie for self or for judges that use the same areas constantly for competition; being that once the track is laid you cannot simply save it as a permanent track but have to email the saved track to yourself every time you run a dog over it. It would be easier if there was a function for perm tracks in the app as when you’re in a remote area with limited cell coverage you may not be able to download it.

Great App
Great support and good app to see where exactly dog is in relation to track. Can follow the dog and not worry about not knowing where the track is. Gives handler more confidence in training.
This one works!
Every time. Makes nice maps, easy to use with no learning curve. The GPS is accurate enough, although you get some anomalies near buildings if you're doing urban. I think this is a GPS challenge not an app problem, though. App developer is very responsive to questions-- a huge plus! Definitely my favourite tracking tool so far (dog excluded).

First and foremost. I'm an AKC tracking judge and a tracking judge for the Australian Shepherd Club of America. I've been an AKC judge since 1992.
Needless to say, I felt that the app would be terrific for my use.
Went to use it today. The instruction screen totally locked up, although I had read the instructions before, I was checking to make sure I was doing everything correct. Nothing. White page that then locks up the app. You have to exit the app and then shut your phone off to get the app working again.
In the instructions, they tell you that the color will tell you how accurate the GPS is. I had green all of the time, which means the best accuracy. Well, the yardage was WAY off. Half the time it had me walking on the top of buildings (I'm doing VST work).
Even if I weren't an AKC judge, you'd still be able to walk down a sidewalk and know that you're walking in a straight line. Not according to the app. It had me all over the place.
Save your time and money.

Good tracking aid
Once my husband and I figured out how to use it this app has been wonderful. As with anything new it took a few tries to get it down. I found that attaching the phone to her harness showed me where she was actually going. In many cases she did better than I thought she had. This program along with video taping what Juno does is very helpful.
