VIN scanning Point the camera at the barcode on the driver's door jamb and the VIN fills itself in — no more typing 17 characters at the roadside. The scanner shows you it is working while it looks, tells you when a barcode is not a VIN, and reads the VIN back before it fills the form so you can check it against the label. A door jamb is a dark place, so there is a light you can switch on from the top of the scanner. No barcode on the vehicle? Take a photo of the plate instead. Referrals, end to end File a referral in four steps: pick the program and the drop-off store, search the pickup address, add the vehicle and customer, and attach your drop-off photos. Only stores that are actually open are offered, and a referral for a drop-off you have already made can be filed after the fact.
