Feedback: Accuracy and Transparency of Property Listings
I wanted to share some feedback on the property search and listings, as there are a few things that could be improved.
* Property type and pricing: Some properties appear to be listed under the wrong property type, such as apartments being advertised as houses. Some listings also do not appear to accurately reflect the actual price.
* Clear price advertising: All properties should provide a clear price indication, ideally as a price or price range/band, regardless of whether the property is listed as “Offers”, “EOI”, “Contact Agent” or another sales method. If a property is being sold by auction, the starting price or advertised price guide should be clearly displayed. If a listing genuinely does not have a price, that should perhaps be its own category.
* Under offer listings: If I filter out properties that are under offer, they should not continue to appear in my search results. It is a waste of time to open properties that are no longer genuinely available. Sold and under-offer properties can remain visible in their respective categories, but they should be excluded when those filters are applied.
* Inspection information: Inspection dates and times should be clearly displayed and kept up to date. If an inspection has not yet been scheduled, this should be clearly stated, for example, “Inspection time to be advised”. If an inspection has already passed, the listing should not continue to suggest that there is an upcoming inspection. It would also be useful to clearly indicate when a property is available by private inspection only.
* Age restrictions: It would be very useful to have an age-category filter. Some properties are restricted to older residents, which makes them completely irrelevant to certain buyers and results in wasted time.
* Property features: Additional filters would be helpful, particularly whether a property has a gas, induction or electric stove.
* Misleading or inaccurate listings: There also seem to be listings where the advertising does not accurately reflect the property, including the property type and pricing. It does not appear that misleading or inaccurate advertising is consistently being identified and removed.
Overall, improving the accuracy, transparency and timeliness of listings, together with better filtering options, would make the search experience significantly better and save buyers a lot of time.
Thank you for considering the feedback.
I am very puzzled by this app
I’ve called and left messages. I’d get no callbacks..
Properties that I have been interested in, I have seen go under offer.
So either the app doesn’t work or the realtors don’t I don’t know which is which.
New update is terrible
I Highly recommend Frank for finding your next home!!
Search criteria a waste of time
Why bother
I could go on for ever.. how about your developers test the code to make sure it works…
Not easy to use
