FAQ

What is Dominoes Live?

Dominoes Live is a free mobile application that allows you to play domino games online against hundreds of real players. It utilizes a central internet server for multiplayer functionality and offers chat features to interact with opponents.

What domino variations are available?

The app supports three popular variations of domino games: Five-Up (also known as Muggins or All Fives), Draw (open variation), and Block (closed variation). Each variation offers a unique gameplay experience.

How does scoring work in Five-Up?

In Five-Up, points are scored during play by ensuring the exposed ends of the domino chain add up to a multiple of five. The winner of each hand also receives points based on the remaining pips in the opponent's hand. Players can choose between 7-bone or 9-bone hand sizes.

Is the app free to play?

Yes, the Dominoes Live app is free to download and play. However, like many free-to-play games, it may offer in-app purchases for additional features or content.

What are the rules for starting a game?

In the first hand, the player holding the double six must play it first. If no one has the double six, play proceeds to double five, then double four, and so on, until a player can produce the called tile. In subsequent hands, the winner of the previous hand starts the next game.
