Broken on iPhone 16 Pro Max since 2025.2.1 version - Update

Hi there, everything was fine until those two 2025 releases.

I’ve sent multiple emails explaining the issues, but nothing seems to have been done.

It’s really sad because this application was the perfect front-end for Domoticz before that.

The layout is the main issue. The application somehow considers the 16 Pro Max as an iPad, which is a problem in itself. Additionally, the font size renders everything unreadable, making the buttons unusable.

It’s truly a shame.

Update 1: This issue was resolved with the latest two updates (4 stars at that time with the first update, 2026.2).
Update 2: The latest update (2026.3) introduced a complete redesign and a lot of bugs. The most challenging ones are related to the search engine, and basically, nothing is working anymore. We have to compulsorily click on the “Home” icon to exit the defective search feature (back to 2 stars because of that).

Update3 (2026.6 version): The search engine appears to be functioning (thanks 👍), but all the other settings i’ve enabled, such as push notifications and keys , location-aware actions , Face-ID unlock, , and so on, have been lost and reverted to their disabled state. As a long-time user (I purchased the product many years ago), having to recreate everything from scratch is quite disturbing. 😭, the alignment between the labels and the input strings or value zone is also incorrect.

Another issue related to all the Day timeline charts is that it’s possible to specify up to 7 days of data retention period in Domoticz. However, the timeline shown in that case is messed up and highlights hours over a single 24-hour-based day.

Response from developer

Hi, and thank you for the updated review. I'm really glad the search is working for you again. 🙏 I'm sorry the settings reset caused you so much trouble, especially as a long-time user. I want to be honest with you: I haven't been able to reproduce this one on my side yet, so I'd really value your help. If you email me at pilot@patrickferreira.com with a few details (which settings were lost, your iOS version, and whether you use iCloud sync), I'll investigate right away and help you get everything set back up. The other two points I was able to reproduce, and I'll work on a fix for the next minor release of the app: - Settings layout: the label and value alignment is being corrected. - Day timeline charts: when Domoticz keeps several days of short-log history, the chart's time axis only labels the hour and repeats it across days, so a multi-day range looks squeezed into a single 24-hour day. After all these years your feedback still means a lot. Thank you for taking the time to report everything so precisely. I'll keep improving Pilot, and I'm here if you need anything. Best, Patrick

Don’t waste your money

Very expensive and doesn’t do what it says on the tin. The developer doesn’t respond to emails. Widgets don’t show data. Apple Watch complications remain blank. The free version gives you a decent view but the paid version adds nothing

Was great. Now ripping users off

Was great. Especially the watch app. Now they are charging for that. Vy all means add new features and charge for them but don’t start charging for things that were free

Great App and a savior for Domoticz & iOS

I was almost going to switch my home automation system from Domoticz to something else because the Domoticz iOS app was so bad. This saved me. Clean, straightforward, works great. Happy to pay for apps like this! Thank you!

Response from developer

Thanks for the kind words, glad you like the app! ;)
