Doodl is such a great community that’s funny and kind and just here to do art. It has successfully gotten me to do over 150 drawings since I downloaded. The prompts are really fun and the interface is very accessible. Highly recommend, this app is great.
Such a fun app
This app truly is my daily dose of joy! It’s so fun to doodle based on the daily prompt and see everyone else’s take on it! Everyone is so kind and it’s truly such a completely positive space - which is almost impossible to find these days. I am not artsy, but it’s so fun to let my right brain take over lol def recommend this app!!

I love the simplicity of this app. It’s whimsy and fun and a way to express creativity in a non-judgmental forum. Love the easy to navigate interface and the ability to see others art easily! Excited for what’s to come with it.
My new favorite app
Doodl has created a paradise island of real, creative PEOPLE in an ocean of ai and algorithms. The streak feature encourages me to make a small piece of art every single day. It doesn’t matter if you’re an artist or just bored at your desk job and want to do something to pass the time. I guarantee that no matter how “bad” you think your art is, the Doodl community is here to encourage you to keep going. I have never found a more wholesome corner of the internet.

Great app for anyone who likes to be creative regardless of art experience/skill level!!
This app is for you if you enjoyed taking art classes as a kid just for the experience of creating stuff/seeing other people’s creativity! You didn’t care about grades or perfection and instead just liked having the designated opportunity to create stuff from your own ideas, and to see/enjoy other people’s ideas! This app is also for you if you like creating things for the sake of creating, and taking out the high stakes of popularity/algorithm stats sounds ideal for you.
This app is great for:
- giving yourself motivation to practice drawing (or other art forms) everyday with the fun daily prompts, low stakes achievements, and supportive community
- overcoming perfectionism with the daily midnight deadline, it’s good practice to cut your losses, learn to work faster/more efficient, or create boundaries for yourself
- if you're someone who rarely FINISHES a project, the daily prompts give you the opportunity to start AND finish something everyday, and for someone like myself, you get a real sense of accomplishment 🥲 (I went for YEARS without drawing anything, and now I'm up to over 100 days of creating a drawing EVERYDAY! 🤯🥳)
- good for those who thrive on working on a deadline, and it's low stakes so if you don't meet the deadline it's not the end of the world!
- creative problem solving! so much opportunity for creating clever answers to the daily prompts, regardless of your artistic experience/skill level
- if you like to learn about other people's perspectives and backgrounds; it's really fun and interesting to see how other people interpret the prompt and hear their reasons for their choices!
In general, I've gained a lot of self-esteem (which is a rarity for me. lol) by using Doodl everyday, as I've done things I didn't think I was capable of (drawing everyday for over 3 months straight, coming up with ideas/making drawings I never would have thought I could prior to getting the app in beta earlier this year). Another bonus, everyone's very supportive and friendly in the community, and as mentioned, there's no algorithm, so you're just posting because you want to, and not posting to go viral. It's a great place for anyone who likes being creative whether art is a big or a small part of your life. 🖍️🎨💜

I’m an artist and I come to doodle to exercise my creative muscles by responding to the daily prompts. I genuinely enjoy seeing everyone’s interpretations, even the 2 minute scribbles!
Sharing art feels like a warm hug because the people here are so encouraging, welcoming, and kind to each other. I feel better after being on Doodl, and I can’t say the same when I’m in other online spaces. It feels healthy.
